1. These people seem to have sold an awful lot of instruments. I have never ever seen a good one from them and they are always totally overpriced. Who buys them ? Jesus I dont know but there must be a lot of gullable peole out there. Dreadful
2. What a cracker. Love this one. Good luck.
3. Agree totally. Call Alan at ACG without delay. Theyre the Dogs Testicles.
4. Made about 83 I think. Green isnt the most desireable colour either. Played one once. Was awful. Not all the same though. The best Fender P/J is the Aerodyne by a million miles. Thats what I would look to. All best.
5. I too think you have been told a load of tosh. Fret dress and setup is the first thing to do - provided the trussrod is set correctly. However, if it is sideways neck warp, then you are stuffed. Sorry to say that, but thats the way of it. Makers like Alembic install dual trussrods so this is totally avoidable. I wish you luck with it.
6. Yeah I have to laugh - I think its a first too. Well IMHO BW never had a decent sound anyway, so why would you want to buy one ? In todays market there are some fantastic basses in that price range so I wouldnt be looking to buy just because its got BW's name on it thats for sure. All best
7. As I understand it MIJ was used on older models of Japanese Fenders. Nowadays I understand they are all CIJ models. Never played a bad CIJ Fender. Having imported 28 Aerodynes and retailed them all with nothing but praise from the buyers, I can say that every single one was perfect in finish, construction and tone. They also made a special Jaguar bass for me that took 6 weeks to make and it is just superb. Apart from that, I really cant understand why anybody in their right mind would want to 'F' about with the electronics of a Geddy Lee Jazz. Just why would you ? If its modded then it isnt worth as much as a standard model - and if you should wish to pass on in the future then you should be aware of that, and be prepared to either struggle to sell it or get less for it. Probably both to be honest. However, the choice is yours, but I wouldnt give it the time of day personally. There are many others out there without issues. I'd go for one of those. Theres my two-penneth anyway. Good luck.
8. These are really under-rated basses. Dont think its crap because the price is low. This is a serious bass. Snap it up somebody. Good luck
9. Eh what----how on earth is this still here ???? Its a steal fellas.
10. Further to my last post, these are the ones that I use. Excellent http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-ULTRACELL-9V-PP3-Ni-MH-400mah-RECHARGEABLE-BATTERY-5-99-P-P-FREE-/181076469221?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item2a28ffa5e5 Cant do better than that
11. Well I'd try the Retrovibe Ricky type. That one with the two MM pickups is a killer bass - and damned cheap as well for the spec. But if you want the real thing - well keep on saving man.
12. Yeah I only use rechargeables. Get 3 of them off Ebay for about £10 post free. I swear by them. Get the highest milliamp hour ones you can find and you wont have a problem. Take 16 hours to charge fully from flat. Worth every penny guys.

14. I cant believe it hasnt gone yet either Loz. If I was closer I'd definately call in. What beauty. Somebodys surely got to snap it up soon ! Its certainly worth more than you are asking. I'd try Gumtree as well Loz. Some good basses starting to appear on there now too. All best.
15. The Stryker is real nice. Hardly ever come up for sale either. Its the one to buy out of this collection lads.
16. Respect Paul S's view but I own both a Jaguar and an original black block model Fender from 72. The Jag neck is that same as the '75 Reissue Jazz which is a bit wider than the original. The original is actually 1.454in wide - and what I call slim. The Geddy today is the equivalent of the original early 70's 4 bolt Jazz neck.
17. Well I have had 30 - yes thats right, 30 CIJ Fenders through my hands over the years and not one of them was any less than excellent. The only one I have now is a CIJ white Jaguar Deluxe that they made specially for me and it is just superb. The MIJ's tend to have been manufactureed earlier than the CIJ's.
18. Hi. Thanks for your thoughtful reply to my comments. Understanding the situation more fully now, I can really see where you are coming from. Go ahead and do it. I think I would if I felt the way you do. He is obviously very well thought of as he has done much work for you before. Yeah, just do it. Seems good to me. All best.

20. Welcome to the ACG club. You will never regret becoming a member. Stunning bass you have there. As I understand it, ACG are not going to produce any more painted body basses either, so this will become a rarity as times passes. Enjoy.
21. Hmm interesting. You know if I were you I would have a talk with Alan at ACG over in Moffat. I would'nt just choose a luthier because he wasnt too far away from where I live. Its also important to choose a maker who is known to produce top quality and desireable/wanted instruments. An un-named one off isnt really worth much on the second-hand market should you wish to pass it on in times to come. You will probably (I'd say definately) end up losing an awful lot of beer tokens at a later date, so be careful man. Food for thought. But I wish you good luck which ever way you decide to go. All best.
22. Well its Saturday night and I really fancy bumping a beauty. Come on guys - its a steal. If you ever see another one the same as this I'll eat rockin horse sh*t. If I didnt already have an Alembic Rogue this would be mine by now. Just lovely understated perfection. You cant buy anything as good as this for this price anywhere lads. Made by the best of the best bass manufacturers. Come on, come on, what holding you back. You know you want it.
23. Yep - far better reversed in my opinion. Using the pickup as a finger rest then means you dont foul the pickup with your fingers when digging in either. That said I'm not a 'P' bass fan. A bit limited soundwise if you ask me.
24. Jesus. My Back is bad enough as it is
