Do you mean between the Barefaced 210 and the Fender 210? Size, weight, power handling, looks, types of fitted driver, compression driver in the Fender,... Soundwise, no idea. I have a Barefaced 610 and comparing that with the Fender isn't fair!

IPad App for Backing Track and Lyrics?

I just looked at that Stage Traxx app you mentioned. I reckon that'll do exactly what you're after. -
IPad App for Backing Track and Lyrics?
Muppet replied to PunkPonyPrincess's topic in General Discussion
You mentioned running it like a Karaoke? Have you tried an Ipad karaoke app that lets you import tunes and lyrics? I found this thing - horrible name but could do what you want maybe http://grinta-app.com/en/ I use a Digitech JamMan to trigger the samples with my feet and an IK Multimedia app called iKlip Stage for the scrolling lyrics. these aren't synced though. -
I've got one. I mainly use it as an extension cab for the Rumble 500 combo to make a very loud rig, but it's pretty good on its own. It's light enough but not particularly small, especially if you compare it to a Basschat favourite the Barefaced retro 210. Then again they are streets apart in price. The speakers are offset in the cab with a switcheable tweeter. It's a very pleasing sound to my ears. There's one available for a good price in the for sale section here I think..

I run my fly rig XLR to desk and 1/4" out to a active monitor so I'd need an additional DI box I'd still want the speaker sim on both, I cant work out in my head if that's possible...!

No XLR DI out?

I love the look of the PSA. 1.1 but this in pedal format is killer. I have the fly rig and it's really small but well laid out and the knobs (and switches) are surprisingly robust. As said before, small adjustments with these knobs go a long way. Can't wait for this.

As I mentioned before, if you want Fish era songs, you can still go and see Fish on tour!
-
I feel sorry for H. He's been in the band for 30 odd years (Fish was only in it for 10!) and people still call him the new guy. If you want to hear more old Marillion you are better off seeing Fish, who is touring again also (for the last time before retiring). I love both 'versions' but I think you have to see them as two slightly different bands. H singing Fish songs just dont sound right to me. Steve Hogarths lyrics are better in many respects than Fish's ever were and musically the band are wonderful to hear. Ps does he still do the white gloves thing?

Very nice! I agree - the active circuit is great. What colour is that?

Definitely warm overdrive tone on mine, but mine's a 600 Evo IV - maybe that's different. Either way, superb service!

I'm struggling to work out how I'd never play a Fender the same way again. I reckon I could get away with playing it exactly the same way as I always have......
-
Tada. Compound radius fingerboards are really nice but they did that on the Dimension bass but left off the asymmetric neck profile.

I'm thinking you could assign the pitch interval parameter to the expression pedal? Switch on the pitch shift and then adjust to suit?
-
You can make it even simpler using snapshots Dave. You only need to use one block and you can use the snapshot function to toggle different parameters of that block, so in your example you'd have a snapshot of your block, just with different gain and level settings. It saves DSP by not having to replicate a block.

Good call. The Downtown Express is marketed as a multi effects rather than a preamp, but the Plex looks really good, I've fancied one too. Let us know how you get on.

Replacing the Elite range with an Ultra range is what I hear.... minor tweaks and a couple of new colours I'd imagine, to justify a 20% price hike.....
-
I took my ABM600 to my tech, who spoke direct with Ashdown and had some minor problems fixed in a matter of moments. He's worked for some big name amp companies before and said the Ashdown guys were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Blue? I like the sound of that!

Anyone mentioned the Stomp Red.....?

Given that you're using a Focusrite interface it's worth reading this article. https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/210708269-What-impedance-headphones-should-I-use-with-my-audio-interface- I have two pairs - Audio Technica MX50x (closed back) 39 ohm and a set of AKG 702 open back 62 ohm.. The open back ones don't provide silent practice by their nature but they do give a more natural sound . I use them for mixing and for assessing the sound of live patches on interfaces such as my helix. For practising I use the MX50xs as they have a more rounded sound. I don't use these for mixing or balancing live sound as they aren't as representative.

Oh I dunno, the chorus is handy, as is the tuner, the octafilter you can ignore and then you have comp and eq section. it's very small too!!
