P bass....no pedals! Keep it simple!
-
I stand corected as they say....I actually think it sounds fine as is. But I have adjusted the price a bit to make it more in line with what it is which is stock. It's hard to get an idea of a price with it being pretty rare and not many examples about.

Last one on here seems to have sold for £550....I shall see what it fetches soon I hope lol! Thanks for posting!

Watched it.....to be honest I thought it was awful.

I seem to remember buying that said Sunburst bass from you Andy. Cracking guitar. I got offered another 1100s in a trade in shortly afterwards and decided to keep it,sticking the one I bought from you on the usual places. It was bought by a nice chap called Martin from London. I sold it for £300 plus £20 postage. A snip I hear you say! Anyway,I put the money to something else nice. You can imagine my surprise when checking the postal address and seeing it was The Bass Gallery,Camden. You can also imagine my surprise as it appeared on the shops web page for sale at £950. It's still there now!! London prices!!! What are they like!!!....................................

Just heard the Mathew Seligman bass player with Thomas Dolby,The Soft Boys and David Bowie (Live Aid ) has passed away this evening due to the virus. Very sad.

It was indeed Ron Wood who played bass and seemingly every other instrument apart from mandolin, which was played by one of the Lindisfarne guys according to an interview with Ron from Classic Rock magazine online.

Seen a show on tv earlier tonight, about buskers in Scotland. Everyone of them was better than anybody on this show tonight. What a pile of poo... -

Managed to get hold of a cracker of a Sub bass. Picked it up in Edinburgh from a really nice chap,Jose, who had sellers remorse right away! I really felt sorry for him as I have had that 3 times before when selling my Sub bass guitars. I originally had a white one about 7 years ago. Sold it when skint! Bought another in grey, sold it to fund another guitar and finally got hold of another gre 10000000_2416171728701068_1584912735974150124_n.mp4 y one last year, which I sold to fund a very needed holiday! Anyway, this one is a keeper! (I hope!) Here is a recent video of me playing it in Glasgow. Get the earphones on for this!!

Cheap option, works for me at the moment, Adagio Flatwounds 45 -100, E bay price £14.99. Nice bright sound,no issues so far. Fitted to my Spector NS-2000/4 and Yamaha BB1100s. Using in classic punk rock covers band and rock covers band.

This guy should have his own show on channel 5.

Finding this a lot! Playing with a classic punk covers band at the moment. We are very good if I say so myself, wherever we play,we go down a storm, even with folk who think they don't like punk. I say punk,it's the lighter stuff,Undertones,Blondie,Ramones..pop really! Anyway, being semi retired,I have more time than most of the band to phone pubs,or facebook folk for gigs.I have manged to get a handful of decent pubs to take us on,but more or less the same after every gig,the original booker is no where to be seen, you phone during the week, they are not in,you get them on facebook, they promise to check their book, after another couple of goes, they say they are full to the end of the year, phone back in 3 months,or if they do offer something,it clashes with other gigs we have! I chased a certain gig up last year for weeks, managed to get hold of the person who claimed to book the bands,on facebook, they suggested I drop by t some point,I did and they seemed to forget who I was.I suspect the person on facebook was not actually who booked the bands...anyway,landed a date that suited the rest of the band, thats another story, getting folk to use the online calender, the gig is in 3 months....We do the gig in Feb of this year,go down a storm, the person who booked us,the owner of the pub is not in that night and I have to start over again with the phone calls and facebook messages, finaly get offered a gig, which we can't do,cause we are already playing, get offered one for this December, which we take. I know what will happen,as the whole thing will go on,with us being told, thats us booked up for the year, give us a phone next July.......flip!!!!

Looks like someone will be paying over the odds for an old Encore p bass....

His mum did look a bit odd as well.....I never hung around!
-
I expected some damage, maybe a scratch or even cracked. For the price,I thought it would do a turn, just for bashing about the house. The guy put one picture up,which was out of focus. When I got the guitar, his mum was cooking something horrid in the kitchen and I didn't hang about. I think it might have been his dad....
