  1. Not sure what you mean. It has a zero fret and the action is low. Maybe a bit too low but I like it that way. I think and not 100%sure its at least 20 years old. Its the old shape/style so whenever they came out and ended will be a clue. I have seriel number but I think I checked it on a Sandberg site and it was in and around 20 years old. You are welcome to come and try it out at some point. I do prefer folk try out the guitar rather than buying it for it's looks....like I did! I have a few more guitars that cover what I need and am currently in love with my Sire V7!
  2. Back up for sale. I had a bit of local interest but to be honest it was mainly trades. So here it is. Sandberg VT4 .Tobaco burst/maple neck. Glockenklang pre amp.Delano neck pickup. The bridge pickup has been replaced is it was faulty. I think its an Ironstone or Tonerider. Plays as good as it looks. 5kg weight. Comes with hard case.Any questions fire away. Will post at buyers risk and cost UK only. Sort out a courier or uplift from Falkirk!
  3. Well she did start off nice then said she might kill me if I didn't agree to do it..lol
  4. I played with the band that Dave is now in,Emergency Exit. A few years ago we got a gig to suppert The Angelic Upstarts at a venue in Paisley. The backline,PA and sound guy were all provided. It was a very busy night indeed! The only thing we did not get was money! The band had been asked to play a few months before the gig and had agreed to a fee for playing the one hour support slot! About a week before the gig we got told it was just about to be cancelled as the venue had changed owners and the new owners were not able or willing to pay the Angelic Upstarts fee.As a result they managed to work something out with the band and the gig was able to go ahead. The downside was that we were told our fee was out the window. fair enough these things happen. Some of the band including me were happy to sit it out but the singer of our band bless her,was a massive fan of The Upstarts and was on the phone begging us to do the gig ! She is such a sweetheart we agreed to do it. It was an ok gig but we did have a decent wee night and got some pro shots of the band from a photographer! As for The Angelics......I never heard them as I was on my way home up the M8!.
  5. Seeing some folk on other sites saying that there could have been some sort of issue with her IEM feed or backing .Seen a couple of other clips from other venues on You Tube and although it's not perfect it isn't as bad as the Glastonbury vocals....strange!
  6. She seems to be having issues with her IEMs...you can see her adjusting the level on the belt pack..
  7. Great band and songs...but I think if Diana was on at the local she would have got her jotters by now....
  8. Macca not perfect but a lot better than some of the sh*t on earlier...legend!!
  9. I have a Fender Vintera in Blonde, which is discontinued now. Also had the Seafoam green one like the one in the show.Plus I have the 50's Classic P bass in fiesta red. The Vintera is Dakota red!
  10. Weekend hot bump.....Except for viewers in BBC Scotland!
  11. I sold a large second hand flightcase to someone in England. Contacted the courier which was palletline and they insisted I wrap the flightcase!!
  12. Yes thats the way I like it! Cracking guitar but I am using my Sire V7 mostly and have another couple that get used now and again. Freeing up space......for something else!!
  13. Usual stuff and been there before. If front of house is decent thats ok but onstage can be a bloody nightmare! It happened to me at the O2 ABC in Glasgow when on a charity bill. The bass amp packed in onstage just before I went on and I had to listen to the bass through the monitor onstage in front of me. Sound like a tin can! It ruined my night I can tell you! At another gig in Paisley I played with a differant band the front of house it seems was great...well according to our singer who was standing on a table outfront!. Onstage I could hardly make out the drums and guitarist across the stage but was deafened by the guitarist next to me! No wonder I am a grumpy bugger!!
  14. Sandberg VT4 old style. Usual German quailty and in great condition for age. I believe going by serial number it's around 20 years old. Tobaco burst finish. Ash body/Maple neck. Neck is straight low action. Good fret condition. Glockenklang pre amp. Active/passive switchable. Weight 5kg. Delano neck pickup.Bridge pickup has been changed. Comes with hard case.Had this about a year now and have gigged it many times. Surplus now as my Sire V7 has taken over!! Can be seen and tried in Falkirk. Would prefer local pickup but can sort something out re posting at buyers expense and risk. Will see how we get on here but may post on e bay at higher price. Thanks for looking any questions just get in touch. I have tried to photograph any marks or blemishes but its in cracking condition for age and plays as good as it looks! Been playing it again and getting second thoughts......bad idea! ...WITHDRAWN
  15. Sire Marcus Miller V7. Fantastic versatile bass!
  16. Back ''in the day'' when I was starting out I did not drive so was able to partake in a few drinkies before, during and after gigs! I managed one time to fall off a stage in to a christmas tree, knock a full try of drinks out of a waitresses hand and was sick all over the side of our van on the way home from a gig. Happy days!!
  17. This might be good in reverse if I could get holograms of the punters in my living room and I would not have to go in to a pub to gig again!
  18. Too true! I did the same thing with an old mate who I was at school with. I had not seen him since I was 21. Met up for a drink in our late 50's and we had a good day out. In fact we did it again a few weeks later but by that time the conversation well was well and truly dried out! In fact I wasn't that sure I like him anymore......lol
  19. Do you ever find trying to get hold of fellow band mates or starting a new project is worth the bother? I recently met an old bandmate at a recent gig I was playing. I have not seen him for 22 years and last played in a band with him in 1980!! We had laugh and agreed to meet up a few weeks later to see our old drummer play with his current band. When I arrived at the pub it turned out that our old singer had been invited and all 4 of us enjoyed a chat and a bit of banter. At one point I was taken aside by the singer and asked if I was interested in having a wee jam in view to maybe doing some gigs! I must admit it was something I had thought about over the years but maybe in a way you wanted to look up an old flame to see what they were like now! I agreed to a get together at a local studio a few weeks later and we agreed on a small selection of songs to run over. As it was it was nice to see the guys again and have a play after all the years that had past. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was that the drummer had not learned any songs. He did play along and it was sort of ok but he was very dismissive of some of the song suggestions even though he had plenty of time to come up with songs that he liked! Anyway it was decided to have another go,maybe at someones house in view of doing a one off gig. As it turned out the drummer was asked why he never bothered learning anything and he said he thought we would have just been talking! Why he thought we would book and pay for a studio is beyond me! Anyway folk had holidays and we could not agree on a date that suited everyone. Now it turns out that the singer who thought it was a good idea in the first place has not been in touch with anybody else and does not use WhatsApp and doesn't see any messages regarding getting together! I have just joined a new band and have a full set of new songs to learn, plus our guitarist is practising songs for his first gig with a new band. Maybe it still will come together and at the end of the day it is nice to be in touch with the guys again but I am not that bothered if we play together now. The moment seems to have passed! Any similar things happened to you guys?
