  1. Location: Eastham, Wirral. NW, UK. Condition: Used, some minor wear. Reflected in price Price: £509 £485 inc UK mainland postage Trades accepted, Trade Value £500 see comment. Obtained this awesome bass earlier this year to go alongside my late Yamaha Attitude 25th Anniversary bass as a more functional gigging bass- however I never got to take it out of the house in the end but still sat proudly in my bass collection as a fascinating "one off" instrument. It's foundations are on a Fender Squier Classic Vibe 51 neck on a Fender Squier Mike Dirnt Pbass body (inc neckplate and pickguard) However it's been modded with some Hipshot HB10 tuning machines which are solid construction, quality tuners and a matching Hipshot BT7 D-Tuner. Fender American Deluxe bass bridge- grooved and plated brass saddles. Neck pickup: DiMarzio Will Power™ Neck Middle pickup: DiMarzio Model P Custom electronics: Volume for Will Power™ Neck pickup Stacked Volume and Tone for the Model P Middle pickup. An absolute rock solid bass in construction and sound: something not to be assumed for being a cheap alternative bass whilst armed with USA Hipshot and Fender hardware or sounding less than a Yamaha Billy Sheehan BB714BS with actual DiMarzio pickups and not Yamaha own made pickups and electronics.

Fantastic medium scale bass with a lot of tone variety from one single '51 style pickup. The bass is in immaculate condition other than some superficial paint chipping on the bottom rear side of the bass. Sustained by the previous owner but this reflected in the price. 3. That's a real nice bass 😍 GLWTS
  4. I do like a heavy bass when it comes to recording, I find there's a better sound perhaps due to the mass(?) and there's something about a feel about a heavy bass when it comes to playing one but given I don't stand up and rock out when recording, I do have slightly lighter basses for playing live and my back does feel a lot more relief this way. Early memories of playing some heavy Ibanez SR basses and having dead shoulders (even on a wide strap) after a gig is something I don't miss.
  5. I think you'll struggle with the ball ends on the strings, as the Bass VI ball ends are more so 'guitar size' which will probably pull through the bass ball end sized bridge. I'm pretty sure the frets are somewhat different between a Bass VI and a short scale bass and sound of Bass VI strings through a bass pickup is going to be weak and thin. There's quite a few Bass VI instruments out there, I'd be tempted to give them a try but the Ibanez SRC6 is definitely a good shout.
  6. Well welcome to the forum, you should write an introduction as it'll be interesting to hear about you, your gear and what you hope to gain from being a member on here 😊
  7. Nice bass, I'd have one but I've already got one too many PJ basses 😂🙈 Good specs along with the new Dtuner, inlays and pickguard
  8. I imagine if you're knee high to a grasshopper and not too bold, it's not a bad bass. Just seemed very small and tonally wasn't very dynamic. 6'6" of me, build like a brick shithouse made it look like a Axe Heaven bass model 😂🙈 I've seen Kala UBass' that are bigger lol
  9. Not really... Could be a stereo cable 🤷🏼‍♂️
  10. Looks good, bet it sounds thunderous with being a shorty and having the EB0 style pickup. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
  11. Looks like p¡ss, but then he does vape 😂
  12. Guys, It's been 3 years since this was posted. I'd probably say it's either been sold or the seller has decided to keep it 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
  13. Selling due to not able to "put up" with less inherent grit from passive circuitry.... Or something like that 😂
  14. Interested in whether you're into trades as well. DM me
  15. Seeing as most of my heroes have already been name dropped and not wishing to duplicate... Electric Light Orchestra's (ELO) Jeff Lynne and Kelly Groucutt have got to be up there as some of the earliest and iconic rock bands from the 70's to use a variety of Roto strings on numerous tours and heard on 50 million albums (during active years). So, whether it's playing Mr Blue Sky or Last Train To London and other funky basslines, you can't help but think that it couldn't be done without some Red Silks
  16. Everything, fender, ever 😂

  18. That's cool that it comes with the USB adapter to charge the batteries. GLWTS
  19. Sold to @Craig Robinson
