  1. I reckon someone will be pleased with this. Just seems a small body considering the wide 5 string neck πŸ˜…
  2. Seen the 4 string variety about but never a 5! 😲 Shame for the lack of postage but fingers crossed that may change soon πŸ˜‰πŸ€žπŸ»
  3. If I didn't already have my Yamaha BB300, I'd be on this like a tramp on hot chips πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Definitely consider delivery and checkout APC Overnight, as they're cheaper than most couriers and reliable. Speaking as a customer for 6+ years, never had a single problem πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  4. Bump up! Andy is a top lad and the basses look phenomenal, so buy here with confidence 😁🀘🏻
  5. It would be for sale after a week πŸ˜‚
  6. Such a nice comment mahn and I dig it. Just UK buyers beware of import tax πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  7. Previous owner deserves to be castrated πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚ These are f***ing amazing basses though!! Mr Sheehan and Mr Yamaha know how to make a bass πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ» if it doesn't already look sexy, the sound is unbelievable. GLWTS πŸ™ŒπŸ»
  8. Seems to be a theme πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Looks and sounds great though πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ» GLWTS
  9. When did you get this one?! Kept it quiet πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Looks nice, even for an active Jazz πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ» Anyone who doesn't know Andy, top guy and pleasant to deal with. πŸ™ŒπŸ» Buy here with confidence! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
  10. I'm not really one for jazz basses but God damn 😍 this is really an eye catcher from the colour of the finish, the pickguard, to the grain in that rosewood, it's hard not to sway someone like me haha! Let alone that price! Someone's going to love this!! GLWTS
  11. Oof! That's a tasty and rare bird to see these days. Have a bump from me πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ» Surprised EBMM didn't pass this on to Sterling to make a few budget friendly options before discontinuing it altogether.
  12. Bruh, what's going on with that pickguard?! πŸ˜‚ Other than that, really nice bass and not a bad price πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  13. I get you bro. On paper, I couldn't fault it as I'd love nothing more than what it listed and had potential to be: passive basses, exotic woods with hipshot tuners, monorail bridges, humbuckers and may had that fancy Spector/Warwick look for a lot less πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ but alike @gafbass02said about the overall QC and flaws just really took the shine for all they could had been (not that cheap either, especially the Dave Hollingworth!) but QC had always been part of the Chapman brand. I was one of those unfortunate few who purchased the ML-2 which was a huge flop and disappointment. If they weren't returned due to poor craft, they were being sold by thomann (and I believe Andertons) as "decorative items" in the end at a knocked down rate, for potential luthiers to buy, repair and sell for profit or just to null these items being returned and costing the store/supplier/manufacturer more money. Again though, try before you buy. You might be the lucky one who finds one that passed QC or had someone repair the faults πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  14. Damn Brexit, makes this too expensive to import than buy newπŸ˜” Absolutely beautiful bass though, I actually like it and more so in this finish. Good luck though. Someone will be happy with this πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™πŸ»
  15. I know I'm a fan boy of Yamaha (too!) but this is a good shout. They're great and ideal for beginners, quality enough to last if the passion progresses until the next bass is affordable/deserved and often found cheap enough if second hand is what you're after to start with. πŸ‘ŒπŸ» I still have my Westfield B1000 from when I was 14. For a precision bass copy, it's actually well built and sounds really good! I've taken it apart numerous times and put together again when I was younger, a mad phase where I painted it (fretboard too πŸ™ˆ) it's been to many practice sessions, gigs and recorded with πŸ˜‚ hell of a bass and still sounds amazing 18 years later! πŸ˜… They can also be found in a range of colours, rosewood and maple necks and dirt cheap when they show up on sites, more often then not, barely touched and great condition. If you think your Farida is good, give this a try πŸ˜‰πŸ€™πŸ» If you're looking to buy new, I'd check out Yamaha, (JHS) Vintage, Aria and few other brands but I'd keep active basses at bay for the moment.
  16. I watched the review from The Bass Channel and I can honestly say, if you like the sound of a MusicMan but want a short scale. Don't buy here. It just lacks that signature tone everyone knows and for the price, I'd be utterly disappointed. Even for a Sterling. I think you'd find other brands and designs that would offer more for less money.
  17. Tried one of a friend's a few years back (when they first released), good specs on paper but seemed lacking in my hands for quality and tone and one style, one finish didn't offer much ( I know we like having some options too πŸ˜‰) . Cool if you can find one for a good price and that's your thing but ideally, as ever, try before you buy. I always had high hopes for (Rob) Chapman to create a range of guitars and basses given his experience and knowledge but the basses are no longer made and the guitars have seem to have lost their sparkle. Chapman guitars only seem good if you're close friends with Rob and fancy a signature πŸ˜‚
  18. Bought and sold with Craig a few times over recent years. Absolute top bloke, down to earth and understanding. I also have the unfortunate experience of dealing with @AndyTravison a regular basis 😜🀣 who previously owned and worked on this bass. Both top lads and know a thing about a Yamaha bass. So buy here with confidence and bag yourself a bargain at Β£275!! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  19. And you don't mean the thing on the left? How many strings?! πŸ˜…
  20. How does the neck hold up? Always thought with the tension from the C string would require a second truss rod.
  21. Maybe it's for a Steinberger styled Jazz bass? πŸ˜…
