1. Karl just bought an amplificatory device from me, he was an absolute gent and paid exactly when he said he would. Excellent communication and a top chap
2. Ah, in the back pocket of a bloke now too, good good! $299 I guess equates to the same (£299) over here probably....
3. Neither. I believe they are more akin to a re-thought MAG preamp
4.
Seriously though... If the Elf was cheap enough, I'd consider getting one for the home or little acoustic get togethers... maybe this is the taster before the big guns come out. If you consider this as a starting point, going up against the likes of say, something like the D200... with the vision on going onto something more akin to the GB Shuttles... then maybe they are onto something.
I hope this is the case. I like the look of the Elf but it's missing an aux in for my personal home practice situations.
5. Is your ABM400 an old model or the "Neo" Class d head, Kevin?
6. Yeah the pedal looks really really good. £369 RRP apparently
7. The Origin amp looks ace but is missing one thing (IMO) which makes the headphone socket really useful - an aux input.
8.
Nobody's talking about that cab? It looks lovely, i would like to know more about it. Looks like a very compact 210 or 208, if they managed to pack the TE punch in that little thing i would be very interested in one.
Ditto - can't see any info on it yet?
9. Interesting. The Elf could be a good little backup head. I wonder what power amp module it uses... Nothing on the speaker cabs yet that I can see?
10. I just said to Eude, they've either gone batshit crazy or have developed some crazy ass world beating new concept in bass amps...... intriguing though
11. You buy more basses per month than I have hot dinners
12. I'll be there on the Saturday! Whoop I think this is the first year I'm actually travelling alone (so far) and don't have to run away for a gig, or to pick up my son, or indeed to take him somewhere other than the London bass show haha. He survived an hour last year...
13.
They could be a very very very very very very very light black .
14.
It's silver....
Haha Silver / white. Same difference apparently
15.
Who knows - but it's going to have to be pretty special compared to their last offerings...
Yup! I really hope it IS something special as it'd be a shame for the brand to die in a whimper for a third time
16. Probably! The name Whiteline is purely down to the cone colour much like Blueline name was created originally for the blue speakers way back
17. Wicked, I'll be there on Saturday. I think this is the first year I don't have to run away quickly either for a gig, or to get home with or to my son!
18. If it has a white cone it's the White line cab
19. David's a friend of mine and a top top chap
20.
Thanks! Probably gonna be the Saturday for me, band practice is usually Sunday's.
Right I'll tell the missus I'm out all Saturday then
21. I have exactly this Uni-Pre setup in my Finn 5 and it is a brilliant bit of kit! IMO it's the perfect blend of a passive bass with the advatanatges on blending pickups that an active can provide

Glad to have helped you out, you did the same for me a couple of years ago and it was the least I could do
23. I'd have had these months ago but alas I am very, very broke.
24.
Thanks all for the kind words. If anyone is heading to the LBGS, Jon will be an exhibitor, and I'll be taking this to him for a tweak after it has been played in a bit. So if you want to see it in the flesh and have a go, let me know
Awesome, I'd love a fondle with it if you're there when i am (I haven't decided which day I'm going yet) Absolutely bloody cracking bass
