5. Bournemouth doesn't really have a very good music scene unfortunately. But to be honest she will get a lot of contacts from University as it rules this town in most regards. Poole is a little better music wise (marginally).
6. Truly sad but this seems at least to be making a little more sense of it. I really do feel for his family. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/attorney-for-chris-cornell-family-and-vicky-cornell-issue-statement-on-chris-cornells-death-300460594.html
7. Update: well I got the funds today!!! They panicked I had like 4 phone calls and emails this morning. I think they had no idea how this all small claims thing works. They were quite keen on me telling the courts they had paid. So what did I learn?? 1)Don't use Parcel Monkey ever 2)Don't use DX couriers 3)If you feel something is wrong with a companies policy it's probably is. 4)Don't give up ever!! Share your experience and others will avoid what you have had to put up with. (Hopefully) 5)On private sells don't get anything expensive delivered by post, if you really don't have too it's a big risk.
8.
Prediction. If you are the only one, they'll pay out but you might need the bailiffs to get it. If you are one of many, they'll suicide the company and start again under a different name with a different Companies House registration and you won't get a penny.
Well after a year I'm not expecting them to pay anything. I see the whole thing as a learning experience.
9.
Excellent news, well done! It's taken quite a while, I think that's their game, hoping people will give up before getting to this point. At least that is my experience so far: slow communication, ignoring questions and points raised on emails, standard copy and paste replies...very frustrating, all I think, in the hope to make you give up your case and move on.
That's exactly what they do. They did send me a message mid day Friday asking to settle. There offer wasn't even 50% of the cost of repair. I guess the lesson is never give up and be in it for the long haul.
10. Following on from my court date they didn't turn up so the Judge awarded me everything. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/282557-broken-cab-just-arrived/page__fromsearch__1 Stick with it its taken me a year so far.
11. Right today was the preliminary court date for my claim. The courier company Parcel Monkey didn't turn up so the Judge awarded me everything. The company did contact me on Friday just gone and said the wanted to offer me a settlement, which seemed a bit late in the day. The offer was pretty poor and not close to what I lost so I refused it. Its taken me a over a year so far but maybe its nearly done depends if they pay I suppose. Ill keep you posted on what happens next.
12. Tuning after every song seems excessive. Some guitarist need to do it a bit more depending on their style and string gauge. Bass wise tuning at the start of a set and using your ears.
13. Check out my thread on a broken cab http://basschat.co.uk/topic/282557-broken-cab-just-arrived/page__fromsearch__1 I'm going to small claims court early next month. Let me know if you need any help or advice
