  1. I suppose you all saw Roger say on TB that they'll start offering NYC Basses with Blocks and Binding this year. Hubba.
  2. They were talking on TB the other day about a $1400 fretboard option from Avella Copollo. All I could think that a bigger improvement in tone/bass playing/style must come better from $1400 of lessons.
  3. That one from Paul's Bass Matters is AMAZING. Nice, Nick Brown!
  4. Doesn't sound bad to me.
  5. I've really never understood the penchant for "stereo" poweramps.
  6. I'll definitely buy a Jerzy Drozd. Just not at the current £/Euro rate !
  7. What a joke.
  8. Band practices are every Sunday, so ideally it'd arrive with me Friday and I'd post it back Monday. I'd be happy to pay for RMSD both ways, especially if the Deep Blue Delay or Muff Clone wasn't of interest.
  9. To those of you with a Malekko B:assmaster - would someone lend me one? I'd be happy for you to borrow either my Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay, or a Big Muff Clone whislt I was borrowing your assmaster. The reason I ask is that I don't like the sound.... BUT everyone tells me it sounds killer with a band, so I need to try it at my next rehersal. Of course the "temporary trade" would be on a "you break it you buy it" basis, both ways Thanks, Joe.
  10. I really don't like Bart pickups and preamps. I think your bass will come alive when you put some new pickups in. What about something like the Big Singles or Big Splits?
  11. They're very heavy basses that sound great and are put together well. My ears really liked the sound, my shoulder didn't like the weight. But I'm a pansy.
  12. Sadowsky only do NYC basses direct, they only do Metro's through dealers.
  13. You won't believe what happens if you press alt and F4 at the same time. . .

    Done.

I suspect he's yanking your chain.
  15. I use them all the time, they're absolutely key to holding the music of my band together. Remember, it's the bass that sets the root.

  17. If my Incase gig bag had a vagina, I'd make love to it. It's a brilliant gig bag.
  18. On top of the illegality, the opprtunity for "fixing" bothers me. I'm sure that Ped isn't open to this kind of "incentive", but I can imagine a number of forums where a £100 donation to the member making the draw would guarantee you a bass. There's no checks and balances, which leaves it wide open to fraud.
  19. I had seen that over on TB. A one pickup metallic orange T-bird. Should be fun.
  20. I guess there's no price that you can put on being chuffed with yourself for making something with your own fair, calloused hands
  21. No idea, strap butons are in the same old places tho. I wonder, what with modern construction techniques and wood sourceing, the basses ought to be a god bit lighter and have thinner necks. That shoud sort the neck dive. I can't see Mike Lull (unsung bass maker, IMO) making basses that do neck dive. JMO.
  22. Where is the gig?
  23. Phwoar.
