I love his drive sound. But I think it only works at relatively low volume.

The last pedalboard I've seen him with had ALOT of custom Analogman effects on - including a 2 channel compressor and a Big Muff.

I'd be interseted in knowing your results on this experiment

It's a pretty sweet pedal, but nothing *that* special.

All my cables that aren't on my pedal board are from OBBM, and are EXCELLENT. All my patch cables are George L's which are FIDDLY BUT EXCELLENT.

The one I tried really sucked, but once I put some good valves in sounded quite a bit better. Still not sure that I'd like to use it "full time" tho.

I know that Jim didn't go back to work until the 5th after xmas and he gets a ton of email every day to which he likes to reply individually. I guess he's just working through the backlog. There's also BIG changes afoot at Diago. Watch this space

Personally, I use George L's which I buy from Diago.

From the damage you describe there's probably substantial damage. Considering you can buy a new one for £100, I'd definitely do that.

It just seems to me to have been rushed out, and there's lots of users reporting crashing / hanging and when you're spending $600 you really shouldn't be getting that. Personally, two footswitches and two knobs doesn't seem like the most effective user interface either. I also massively disrespect Godlyke from stopping private stores in Australia selling to individuals in the UK. It really gets my damn goat.

It probably decreases the validity rather than the impact, IMO.

DB750 is a tone monster. Every other amp I've played feels like a step backwards, it had a great big sound, and wonderful natural compression that means you're always heard. I recently had to use an Ashdown Electric Blue 180 combo, and I honestly felt depressed after the practice. The taxman will take the cost of the bass + postage, add 3.6%, add 15%, hit you with a handling fee and bill you that money. It'd be worth a chat with Joel to see what value he intends to write on the customs note. READ BETWEEN THE LINES HERE
