    Curious but there's a lot of preamps for that kind of money. There's not that much of a step up to a Millennia ORIGIN STT-1, or Avalon VT737-SP.

    Right now I'm using an Aguilar DB750 and a Bergantino HS410 - I was at band practice last night and it sounded so, so, so good. Even the guitarist said so. Gain on about 1pm, volume about 10pm. SO MUCH POWER.

    Then, you should look at all the cables you use and have OBBM make you new ones. You'll sound better and they'll last longer, they'll also be cheaper than any other decent cable you can buy.
