1. What was it like meeting Leo?
2. That turned out really well, well done
3. I have bad GAS for a Cafe Walter HA-1 practice amp for this very situation.
4. I *really* wouldn't recommend a Noise Supressor or Gate or anything like that. You need to be keeping as much of your original tone as possible IMHO. You have decent basses and decent amps, there's no point putting something in the chain that takes that away. 1) What power supply are you using? 2) What is your signal chain? 3) Where are you getting power from?
5. What about the Jamman? There's ALOT more features there.
6. Go to a shop, try all their pedals come back here and tell us what sounds good to your ears. We'll tell you what to buy
7. Bright is good. Glad you're happy.
8.
bass full, mid full, treble off
That's the problem. I've got to be honest, that's a crazy EQ. Do your EQ for sound shaping on your amp and leave the EQ on your bass flat, this will solve the issue with the OC-2.
9.
I didn't know the EHX signal pad was passive. That's a bit crap.
It's a lot crap! You'll get passive tone roll off, and also it'll futz with the impedance.
10. I will definitely give a report when I've tried it with my band. I've got a big muff which sounds great solo'd, but I feel gets lost in the mix under two Les Paul / 80's Marshall JCM800 combos, so I'm looking for something more rough around the edges to cut through.
11. PS-5 for £70 is a good price. Definitely worth the £30 more than the Behringer.
12. What about ones with a pulsing LED like the OKKO FX coco comp?
13. Good work Ben. It looks like a pro job
14. I really think that these look like all kinds of fail. Who knows, some of them might have some good sounds. I'm always dubious about a "range" of pedals beign released complete. I wonder who is making them, I bet it's excar.
15. I wouldn't accept any charge that you didn't agree to in the first place. Also, you can tell if the trainsistors are blown, there will be scorching on the PCB and the trannie cases will be disfigured. Finally, I'm sure that the Black Russian Muff has diode protection to stop you killing anything with reversed power.
16. I think it's almost definitely a dodgy ground or an un-shielded cable.
17. I think you're going to need something else. What about a sampler?

Pre-amps

Just and FYI to the other good advice in this thread, there's an old Sadowsky preamp/DI for sale over at the ishibashi ubox.
19. There's always The Gig Rig, they're really well thought out and useful products - BUT you might find them expensive. They're definitely on the expensive end of the UK market. I do, however had righteous GAS for a MIDI-8
20. I think it's a great circuit, but I tend to find it gets lost in a band. That's why I'm testing the assmaster this weekend
21. Mods will definitely lower the noise floor on this pedal. I've always wanted to try 2 CS-2's in series like Juan Alderete.
22. They've probably also changed the paramaters that the knobs effect. In other words: diddled with it to make the "best" settings easier to find.
23. Let us know how you get on at the gig. How do you see this extra layer of EQ as beneficial to your sound?
24. Basschat oorah!
25. I'd just like to say thanks for the clips, and I'll be implementing both these techniques in my practice tonight.
