1.
I'm seriously thinking as much as I love this bass, it's the neck and body colour that does it for me, and I have to wonder why I am wanting to pay all that much extra to have it in a trashed condidtion. I am kinda thinking, how about not smashing the crap out of it and saving some cash too.
According to the Sandberg website, the Marlowe bass is 1847 euros. A standard passive TT is 1123 euros and block inlays would add another 183.
 2.
You need to speak to Alan Greensall at Synergy Distribution, the UK Distributor. I got prices from Thomann, Session Music, etc, but Alan has helped me get the deal I want through a UK seller. It seems much more straightforward dealing with a UK company, and far easier if there's any problems. Alan has also been very, very helpful advising me of the possibilities, and answering all of my relentless questions!
This...

 4.
What are people thinking of these now? Honeymoon period over? I was thinking about the TTE800, simply so I can have 500 watts into one cab, rather than say 350 into 8ohms that the TTE500 probably offers. Anyone tried the 800's yet? any noticeable difference in tone? Are these ok to be stored on their side? Tubes etc? Thanks Si
Morning Si I have to say, I am still loving mine! I believe they are 300 watts at 8 ohms, but it's a very loud 8 ohms (I have yet to turn mine up beyond 9 o'clock, even at a gig!) Haven't heard the digital 800 yet. Tubes are well seated so I see no reason why it couldn't be stored on its side, but the amp is light and could be knocked over easily, so ideally tucked into a small space. Cheers Gareth
 5.
I just love the look of these amps but too heavy for me.
Shows how far bass amps have come, when a 13lb head is regarded as heavy
 6. As above please, what nut width do the 4 and 5 string versions of these basses have?
 7. This bass is now on hold pending payment
 8. For me, Neil Murray in his Whitesnake days, and Martin Turner of Wishbone Ash.
 9. Just paste the URL link into your post
 10.
Interested in a swap for my 51 RI P bass ? http://basschat.co.u...bitsa-fretless/
It's a very good looking bass, but not for me thanks.

 12. Hi folks My Veillette wears La Bella black nylons that are 38 3/4" from ball end to silk. While I like the strings very much I fancy trying something else, but almost all extra long strings seem to be 38". Anyone know of anything that bit longer? Cheers Gareth
 13.
Personally, I'd get a 10 or 12" lightweight cab to go with the Reidmar. Even in an acoustic trio, you might struggle with a 60W amp (I certainly would).
I agree, a nice EBS Classic or (2nd hand) Neo cab would be ideal.
 14. Not even sure this should qualify, but this is what I have at my feet for each gig...
 15.
SA Dual Expression pedal --- Subdecay Echoboc --- SA BEF Pro --- ss/bs TAFM --- SA MWD Pro --- ss/bs TAFM w/gate
What do you think of the Soundlox pedals? I love the look of those two.
 16.
When you say harsh on the ear, do you mean when running at sensible volume or when at or approaching clipping?
Sensible volume. I just much preferred the XLS's tone, as did my band mates.....
 17. I've had both and much preferred the sounds coming from the XLS. I found the IPR hellishly loud but somewhat harsh on the ear. Also, unless they have changed the design, the IPR1600 isn't bridgeable in the traditional sense. Insead, if you use just one speaker output it gives more power to that output than if you were using two.
 18.
I disagree that the head is not versatile in the sense that the sound it produces can be used in most genres.
You expressed what I meant far better than I did in my rushed off post!
 19. I'm loving my TTE500. It's not the most versatile head in the world, but the core tone is fantastic, and as per Mr Muzz above, it's as sexy as hell! Yes, I took the badges off....
 20.
I love it but I tried one of these Randy Jackson heads in Bass Gear and the sound suited my style
That one is mine now, along with two of the matching cabs. Absolutely love these heads.
 21. Thanks Nick. Decided not to "go large" and stick with my Nano, but have a bump on me!
 22. Not interested in any other makes, but if you have a BSX Allegro 4 and fancy a 5, please let me know!
