1. Than
I had the pleasure of meeting Alex a while back when he came over with his basses for a couple of hours. I have played the Jaydee and it definitely has that typical Jaydee barp that I, for one, love. I would like to vouch for Alex, too, as a fine bass player and someone who I would be more than happy to deal with. Will.
Thanks very much Will. It's very kind of you to write what you have written. As for the bass, a sale has been agreed! Regards Alex
2.
can u post better photos
Yes, I have posted some on my website. Please see link above. Thanks gareth.
3.
I have one identical to this. These are a superb bass. They look and sound fantastic!
Ye, I totally agree leroydiamond!
4. Jaydee Roadie II Active bass in excellent original condition. These basses are beautiful to play, sound fantastic and are superbly made! I spent some time comparing it with other basses, including some very expensive Alembics, in the shop where I bought it in London in 2005. It sounded better and was much nicer to play than every other bass I tried! I have decided to sell it to donate the proceeds towards our upcoming mission in Nigeria, as I have two other hand-made basses but intend buying another in the future! £800 including case. 7. It was very interesting to read your comment about Steve Upton, Musophilr! I think he's a great drummer too! I had the privilege of playing bass in Ted McKenna's band ,McKenna's Gold, for two years, so I know a good drummer when I hear one! I particularly love his drumming on 'So Many Things To Say' (Wishbone Four). Fabulous!
8. Thanks very much Booby K. It's true, it was expensive and I geuss it must be rare to find one in the condition mine is in. I would love to see the amp and speaker cab go to a good home, so if you find any space for them let me know!
9. Yes, Andy Powell is a fabulous guitarist. It would be great if Wishbone Ash reformed with either Ted Turner or Laurie Wisefield! Both existing versions of Wishbone Ash are very good in their own right but I feel that they won't EVER be as good as Wishbone Ash with Andy Powell AND Martin Turner.
10. Hi Booby K. Yes the amp is in great condition! I bought it new in 1982, so it really is an early model - a classic!
11. Thanks Bert! I'll take a picture of the tadpole and the frogs/toads or are they froads (!) and I forgot to mention the jester's head!!!! All the best, Alex
