1.
Can you remember roughly when you got them?
Edit: I found the email from Tony. Definitely November 2010.
2.
It turns out that we don't make a B for the silver slaps, so I can only guess that Tony, the old chief tech at the factory made them as specials (in which case they would have been a "best guess" experiment) Perhaps walbassist could confirm? That said, I'll see if we can find the formula in his old note books, in which case we might be able to sort something.... Otherwise, I'll add it to my list and try and come up with a new formula for you asap...
Yes, Tony made me two to try out, each slightly different from t'other. I am inclined, therefore, to send fretmeister the one I've been using for a while and pop the new one on, so I can try them both. He labelled one "No 1" and one "No 2", so if Daf finds the formula we can tell which is which.
3. Glad I spotted this. I have a spare you can have. Fire me over your address via PM and I'll get it out to you. Edit: It's a full 4/4 length, will that fit?
4.
Don't do this to me Gareth! I've always fancied one of those. Anyway, we need to talk about my crazy idea... Phil
Hi Phil Yes we do indeed! I'll be in touch soon about the crazy idea Cheers Gareth
5. I bought this bass earlier in the year. It's beautifully put together and in fantastic condition, weighs just 7 3/4 lbs and is a joy to play, but I have decided to get another fretless Precision. Lovely figured maple 34" scale neck with rosewood board Mahogany hollow body, walnut and flame maple top Rosewood "floating" bridge Delano Xtender pickup 3 band active EQ with passive option Generic Fender gig bag I've added Dunlop straplocks and fitted La Bella white nylon strings to it since these stock pictures were taken. I'm looking for £1200 firm collected from Central London or NE Hampshire. Willing to post at your cost. Trades: A fretless Precision, Bergantino 112 (ideally an HD) or NV115 Cheers Gareth
6. Happy to cover signed for postage after it gets to me, and post pix too!
7. I'd love to try this out too.
8. My bank balance is relieved this isn't a righty......
9. My American Special P is, hands down, the best Fender I have ever played. I would imagine this bass would be terrific
10. I sold some strings to Lee. Transaction was as smooth as the flats he bought (see what I did there), and I'd happily deal with him again
11. I'm sure the guys at Bass Gear could recommend someone suitable.
12. I'm half tempted to sell my Sandberg and buy this...
13. I'm not going to be able to make it either now
14. Maybe go to see Mark at Bass Direct, who has huge Sandberg stock, or contact Alan at Synergy (UK Distributor). These guys are great and will sort you out if a Sandberg's what you really want. PS I have a Sandberg Custom Thinline and it's perfect in every way.
15.
I really like them too I had them on a fretless which I sold (should have kept the strings!) and they have a lovely deep fundamental tone. I will get more!
I have a set for sale in the "Other items" section
16.
Parenting done right!
17. Always loved the look of this cab. Never heard one though. Really rare too, even more so in that colour I'd imagine.
18. My son started at 7 on an Alesis electronic kit. He's now 11, studying for Grade 6, and has just asked if he can have a second bass drum added to his acoustic kit "you know Dad, like Cozy Powell"!
19. "Since you been gone" by Rainbow, at a Secondary School end of year concert in 1980. I can remember my band's lineup too!
20. Surely he should have set the bass up how you like it, not how he thinks it should be. I'd take it back and get him to sort it for you.
21. The Berg CN212 is a superb choice.
