    I've known the guys (and girl) in my main band since 1987, and played in a band with them since 1990. I would class them all as good friends, but funnily enough we don't socialise much outside a band context, but I guess we don't need to since we see each other at rehearsals and gigs anyway.

[/quote] To an extent, but my understanding of this, and I'm no expert, is that usually the Presence control won't be as interactive as a treble control is on the mids and lows.

    Upper harmonics I'd imagine. Probably a HPF for most?

    Soak it in a little tub of lighter fluid overnight. Obviously keeping the room well ventilated and avoid any naked flames! Worked a treat on a 71 Precision I had.

    UKVI rules are increasingly stringent and bureaucratic. She wouldn't have needed a visa, but there was obviously something lacking in her supporting paperwork that meant the border guard didn't like what they saw. You have to feel for her though...

    I have two fantastic Harvest Leather straps for sale. Both are brand new, still with tags and in the plastic wrappers. Made of super soft nappa leather, the straps are 8.5cm wide.     I converted to flats about four years ago on all my basses: GHS Precision Flats or La Bella 760FS on fretteds and La Bella nylons on the fretless. Personally, I found Chromes too taught and too bright.

    I have an American Special, a 2012 honeyburst. The neck is [i]fantastic[/i] and it's a great all round bass. Weighs 8.5lb, great balance, beautifully put together, and the hand rubbed stain finish on the alder body gives it a lovely organic vibe. I've made a few mods: Dunlop straplocks, a mint green scratchplate, tug bar, and Hipshot Lollypop HB7 tuners. Really happy with how it's turned out. I posted these pics in another thread, but they're worth showing again
