1. Just keep a diary of rehearsals and gigs. In this age of smartphones, tablets etc., it's easy enough to do. If you have family, a calendar at home may help keep track as well, to avoid double-booking gigs with family events. I also always tell the bands that I'm in that they aren't my only gig. This has always worked well for me, but I would imagine that constant unavailability for one band could lead to being sacked, so try and make yourself equally available for gigs and rehearsals. Just my thoughts....
 2. Hi folks Recommend me a decent lightweight 1u power amp for bass. Power doesn't need to be huge - at the moment 500 watts bridged into 8 ohms would be fine - just reliable and not silly expensive. Thanks Gareth
 3. Ziricote... all day and all of the night
 4.
That does look like a lovely bass.....or will do with a different pick guard :-). I wonder how this stacks up against the Squier VM PJ.
The model is basically a Fender American Special specific to Thomann.
 5. If you keep the standard valve configuration in it (rather than swapping the pre valves out for lower gain ones), you'll get some grit if you dig in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8F99VkSXsI
 6. The 30 is essentially the old LB30 in a new housing. It breaks up easily, depending on the valve type and volume you are using.
 7. I collected my 1156 from Bass Gear today and gigged it tonight. I have to say, I am amazed at how good it sounds. The 6" driver is a real secret weapon, as it just seems to sit on top of the 15s tone and give loads of clarity without any nasty tweeter sizzle. The 15" driver sounds huge, but in a controlled way. The cab's light too. And it's loud. I can't believe I'd ever need another cab, giving me a 4 ohm load, but a 1126 for smaller gigs is very tempting. Amazing...
 8. My 1156 has just landed in Hampshire
 9.
600 quid? Is that all? Have you taken leave of your senses?
This....
 10.
I LOVE the 115. This can only be another flavour of that goodness.
I'm very excited by the musicality of the 15 used in this cab, and the 6 will just add lots of lovely detail without a tweetery sizzle
 11. Our very own Wateroftyne uses a Walkabout with TKS cabs.
 12. Hello Si First dibs! I may well be interested. Going to PM you. Cheers Gareth
 13. Spent some time at Russ' this afternoon and had a play on this beauty. It's definitely not your typical 70s Fender as it's light (my guess is 8.5-9lbs) and is really resonant. It's lovely to play. £1650 is an amazing price for a vintage bass of this quality....
 14.
1156 reduced!
And now on its way to me
 15. I can only speak from personal experience, but I have owned two (one of which I still own) and they were both superb instruments.
 16. Thanks chaps Rosewood or ebony is cool as the bass will wear flats. I don't want an ebonol board, which I think rules out Mighty Mite. Looks like it's All Parts of Warmoth...
 17. I am looking to fit an unlined fretless P bass neck to a bass, but I have no idea which of these makes is better. Or are they much of a muchness, or is there another make to consider? Help me out folks!
 18. Great little amps these. Find that sweet spot and dig in!
 19. Bump for a lovely bass from a great guy
 20. I love everything about this cab, but I've decided that I am just a 12" kind of guy at heart. I bought this Bergantino HD210 in December last year. I A/B'd it against a lot of other cabs and it just sounded right to me: full and phat, but with plenty of definition.

2-10” woofers w/ 56oz. magnets
High intelligibility tweeter
Power handling: 400 watts
Custom phase-coherent crossover w/ tweeter control
Precision tuned, 100% Baltic birch enclosure
Frequency response: 44hz- 15khz
Sensitivity: 98db @ 2.83v /1meter
Impedance: 8 ohms
Feet on two sides, stack it vertically or horizontally
Dimensions: 18” ½” h x 22 ¾” w x 12 ½”d
Weight: 54lbs.
Pictures to follow, but it looks the same as all the others out there The cab is in excellent condition, as is the Bergantino padded cover. It's been a pretty fallow time for me, band-wise, this last year, so I'd say it's only just broken in now. It certainly hasn't had a hard life. New, this would cost £625 + £50 for the cover. I am asking a firm £450 for both, collected from NE Hampshire. The only trades I'd consider are for a high quality 2x12. Thanks Gareth
 21. I use the Mono Producer. It's an excellent bag,
