1. Fumbling twathood. 😕 Seriously though... I'd say groove-driven. Pocket rather than flash. I'd rather drive the bus than jump over it on a motorbike.
  2. If anyone has a problem with my recent posts and actions, take it up with an admin. Thanks.
  3. Christ, am I talking to myself? To re-cap: We had a Brexit thread. It ran, had its 15 minutes, and is now locked. The subject is therefore closed. We have a longstanding 'avoid politics' policy. It's there for a reason. I've already asked once (and repeated once) that politics in general and Brexit specifically should be avoided in this thread. Comments have now been unapproved, as will any more that appear.
  4. Mine certainly isn't going anywhere.
  5.
Does Tanglewood actually make anything in Britain? All the ones I've seen are Asian made "designed in Britain"! LOL
Mr Kiwi may have been talking in terms of his country of domicile, i.e. China.
Don't worry "Brexit means Brexit" and Britain is heading in the direction of being an overpriced third world backwater.
Ahem. http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__3151648
  6.
Can't really get cleaner than 2x12 EBS Neo.
I own one of these cabs and would heartily concur with this. It's right up there with my old SWR Triad in terms of glassy hi-fi smoothness.
  7. I've got seriously into audiobooks of late. There are loads on youtube. Currently listening to David Baldacci's "The Last Mile". Recent ones include Jaws, The Silence Of The Lambs, Red Dragon, The Diary Of A Nobody.
All the music nerds I've ever played Milliontown to love it! They've just announced some new live dates for April next year - http://frost.life/tour-dates/
I would crawl naked over broken glass to get to the Southampton gig. (Not a pretty image, please try not to think about it.)
  9. The guitarist in one of our support bands turned up with a beautiful Les Paul, a Marshall 4x12, and a 6U rack case containing Marshall pre- and power-amps and a whole bunch of flashing lights. He'd basically spent the GDP of a small country to get absolutely the worst guitar sound I have ever heard. I mean, hilariously dreadful.
  10.
I'm currently in the USA and I heard one American couple (clearly affluent) explaining to their children that England was cold, dark, wet and depressing. The more I thought about it, the more I agreed . They said it was super expensive, and it is.
Well they're totally wrong on that count. For them, it's the cheapest it has been since 1985. $1.22 to the £? How much cheaper do they want?
  11. Ladies and gents, we've done the Brexit thing. It had its own thread, which is now closed. Please steer entirely clear of politics in general and Brexit in particular. Ta.
  12. I like Coldplay. Takes all sorts, dunnit?

Listened to the whole of 'Milliontown' for the first time earlier. OH. MY. GOD. How is it that I have never heard this masterpiece album before? Now hooked.
  14. My mum used to tell me that if I had nothing nice to say about somebody/something, then I shouldn't say anything. So, I'm not going to say anything.
  15.
Here's a question for you Blue - The Beatles in Mono or Stereo?
Milwaukee didn't get stereo until 1974. The residents objected.
  16.
My favourite Beatles album is Revolver.
That is my 24-year-old son's favourite too.
  17. Enjoying the long, hot summer ('76), spending every waking moment on my pushbike arsing about with my mates (apart from skool daze, of course), scrumping and playing knock-down ginger and all the other stuff you do when you're 11. I didn't really have any remote interest in music until 1978/79, when 2-Tone changed my life.
  18. You are 'blue' and I claim my five pounds.
  19.
Have you considered velcroing a dog to your cab to keep cats away?
[/thread] x lots
  20. I agree with HazBeen. Just watched the video review, it's excellent. Some nice playing on there too. I love the way he pronounces the word "balance" as "bell-ends".
  21. I adore my ash V7 fiver, got to say I'm quite tempted by the vintage one but only out of curiosity.
  22.
He's touring with Wakeman and Rabin in UK next year.
From what I understand, their bass chair will be filled by the seemingly ubiquitous Lee Pomeroy. The guy's CV just keeps getting better. I've said it before and I'll say it again... he's living MY dream.
  23.
Behold, Prog fans:
At a very quick glance, this looks like the last band on the bill are a low-key bunch called 'MORE TEA'. Now that really would be quintessentially English music!
