1. Well, got to say we - and a full house at the beautiful Sage - had a great night, band were superb particularly the new young drummer - megga and super tight playing to click (barring the last few songs where his cans came off and they really let rip) and the rest of the band were bang on. Jumping with a crowd that appeared to stun the band with the reception they got throughout the night, and a nice touch taking the time to shake hands with everyone they could down the front when they came on, and then again at the end for a good five minutes - 30 years in the business and still savvy enough to remember who put them there in their heyday and beyond, easy enough to do, but a trick missed by many Mind you - the alternative thread on here is proving almost as entertaining Perhaps Mark King will be sitting in his big house counting his cash, surrounded by all his top guitars and gear wondering how he can appease all the hatred for him, his playing style, and his awful tone according to some Basschat members... ....or maybe not
 2. Leaving the house in 15 mins to meet my mates for a curry and beers, then on to the magnificent Sage to see Level 42. Fortunate to get seats very close to the front, long time since I last saw Mark King - Billingham Forum ages ago - looking forward to it. Anyone going?

 5.
can i bump again?
What a stunning bass at a bargain price IMO. But the lack of a sale typifies how folks are holding onto their cash at the moment or simply do not have anything to spend I bet a lot of folks on here will look back at this in a few months time and say 'if only'... If this had come up 8 months ago it would have probably been mine, mind you it would have been back up for sale again as me and five strings don't get on now Have a bump on me
 6.
Weekend bump..
Well what do you know? Two people enquiring about this in the same day, amazed it's still here
 7.
Terrific, highly underrated basses, these
Cheers for the heads up Spoombung, I think either everyone is skint or wary of making an offer on a tremendous value bass Thought this would have been snapped up by now Roll up! Rollup!
 8. Been similar postings on here before and I passed my tip on somewhere else on here but it works well. To get that string totally clean try half a dishwasher tablet in a pan of boiling water and boil up till the scum from the string rises to the top, reboil in clean water and rinse under the cold tap and dry with kitchen towel. Almost better than new and great if you have no replacements at hand and are desperate to refresh what you have!

 11. This is indeed a cracking bass for the price, I have it on very good authority that if you compare one of these with a Fender precision the sound from these basses will be just as good I would think that any competent DIYer will be able to bring this back to good as new if required, have a bump on me

 17.
As far as I can see this one looks in great condition, very unusual to see the bridge pup cover still in place, they are usually the first thing to get removed/lost, just like real Ricks.' As you can see from the pictures she's in amazing condition for the age.
Is it an invisible one?
 18. Up for grabs is my Peavey Cirrus BXP with a lush bubinga faced top. It's a thru neck with pau ferro fingerboard, with two pups and treb, mid and bass cut/boost. Very lightweight and some great sounds. A very underrated bass IMO, extremely well made, and yours for £275. It's for sale only, and I can possibly meet a prospective buyer if not too far from the Northeast. Feel free to ask for any more info
 19.
I had a 6 string version of this, great sound from the EMG pickups - very modern sounding. Price is bang on .
Cheers Machines the sound is indeed great from the EMG's, the bridge pup vol in particular has a neat way of changing the tone if you back it off slightly from full up, but the variety of tones from both pups along with the treble and bass cut/boost makes it very versatile. The lads in our band loved the sound so much they told me to take the B string off and just play it as a four string!! I just bought a Warwick Thumb NT from jimbobothy on here and I need to get rid of two basses that are now surplus, this Spector is sitting in the living room laughing at me
 20. SOLD pending the usual is my Amberburst Spector Legend 5 string. I bought this to find out what a fiver was like and quickly realised that singing and playing one of these is a tad more tricky than I imagined I gave up It's a lovely bass with a great sound and is in excellent condition. It's for sale only, I could possibly drive to meet a buyer depending on how far from the Northeast you are. It'll go to a new home for £325. Feel free to ask for any further info Sorry about pic quality, used my mobile.
 21. Amazing what turns up on here I watched this after falling asleep on the settee and waking to find it on at about 2.30am I was well impressed with this guy and I too wondered what the bass was. Great player and the producer did indeed do him justice, great band and great singers too!
 22.
After a year of pretty heavy gigging and writing, we're off to the studio and I decided I wanted to try a fretless. So I've defretted this neck, with some instruction and guidance from Jon. Facebook Photo Album The process was quite simple and the finish is great. I just need a bit of reconstruction and then its ready!
Swot Looks megga that Chris!
