Excellent that @wateroftyne what a drummer! π― Great stuff!! ππΌ

Touche Dave β€οΈ one of BCs most regular and well read contributors, always enjoy your input and experience on here π We are back out playing tomorrow, first gig in four weeks. So the bum notes, general forgetfulness and totally wrong lyrics will entertain the venue if nothing else. π And that's before the other three banc members chip in! π€ π

Been kidding myself I'm still a young 'un Richard, but upstairs gigs remind me I'm definitely not π Young at heart tho, still 20 in my head π Full 63 in my knees tho π

Absolutely fantastic that! And not a P bass in sight π²π€ The whole set up there is fabulous, and I've heard the staff are superb too, looks and sounds great π

Great work so far ππΌ

Fabulous pics of an amazing local gig @wateroftyne glad you and the band enjoyed The Fire Station, looks like an incredible night was had by all, it really is a superb venue ππΌ

Brass on all of mine, usually home made apart from my '98 Warwick Thumb and my CB fretless. See my BlazerRay and Vigier Passion threads in Build Diaries ππΌ

Loved Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as a younger me, and subsequent albums too, played Paranoid and War Pigs in a band with my mates as a teenager, influential singer/front man who was a larger than life character. RIP Ozzy ππΌπ

My B2A sits behind the settee, great little bass, with the drop Dtuner bridge tooππΌ

@Buzzy Absolutely genius Sir π€£π€£π€£ I nearly choked on my Werther's Original! π€

I watch a bit then fast forward through the acts my Nana would have termed 'tripe' back when she was alive, and I would agree after some of the dross I've seen so far. Strikes me there's some truly dire stuff out there purporting to be music, but then again I must be getting old π Chic however, and in particular that drummer.. Talented band and timeless tunes, witness the crowd involvement ππΌ

Sad news, like others have said, Take On Me was a breath of fresh air completed by an incredible video, great singer. My eldest lad has a mate whose Dad has been trialling a new treatment up here in the NE with amazing results, he even made local news a while back. He's back on his bike and living a very improved life so far ππΌ

Relic'ing - my first attempt. (and probably my only one!)
BassTool replied to carlsim's topic in Build Diaries
Nice one, I'm definitely not a fan of the relic thing as I've always tried to look after all my basses, but that looks authentic enough to me ππΌ -
I love his vids, he's absolutely hilarious, but really informative too, brilliant ππΌπ

I quite enjoyed that, had no idea he was a guitar collector mind, amazing π³ I liked the way he tries to improve his collection by swapping out guitars with dings and dents for a similar model that's in better condition. Safe to say he's not a fan of the relic look then π

Get to a venue well ahead of 'first set' or playing time. Leave nothing to chance. Your overall sound.... .....is everything π

Local Social Club in Sunderland called Steels on Saturday night, a bass playing mate sent me this pic. Big club but had a full house with a great crowd in ππΌ

You mean you don't lift the needle off the record after each phrase then write it down? π³ Or rewind the cassette? π― Sheesh π
