4. The fact that this still hasn't gone at this price confirms how deep the recession is really affecting bass players Some bargains to be had out there - if you've got the cash....
 5.
.. Thanks G' (and previously, cocco) - I was trying to place a sensible/reasonable price on the bass to reflect the condition and current market: some - now and previously - have been a bit high & hopeful :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT ... although I have no idea of It./Nl. prices generally. The Custom does have Sims led's .. but some players prefer their Wal(s) traditional.
....both no comparison to yours in the looks dept either
That is light, probably helped by being stripped
...aye that 70's lead based paint was always a tad too heavy..

 9.
I've just got the bass I was after but I'm still on here looking. Since I joined I've been through at least 8 basses to get to this one, hopefully I'll just get a fretless version (Sandberg JJ5 aged somewhat!) at somepoint to accompany it then stop looking, therefore buying! It's just GAS is so compulsive it's hard to stop!!
Aye exactly. You ya daft brush only went and sold the best bass you owned to me I thank yowwwwww Yareeet Jim?
 10.
Just when you think you've seen all the madness the world has to offer...you see someone wanting to trade a Wal for a Fender!
Nice to see someone agree with me
 11.
Ask this guy, he's been doing it for YEARS. Gorgeous exotic woods too. http://www.jaydeeguitars.com/classic.php
Beat me to it! The Jaydee basses Mark King used to use have the wooden covered pups
 12. Big thanks for that info chaps My input has been intermittent on my Warwick Thumb and Farnell have none of these in stock at the moment - they use original US Switchcraft but these Maplins ones are a steal considering they have free postage as well!! I splashed out and got two at this ridiculously low price I love the information I can get from Basschat!!
 13.
I might be interested in trading one of my Wal basses for a sixties Fender. The middle one in this picture is no more, so select the top bass or the bottom bass. More details and pictures available. I am in Worcester, but travel. Thanks Steve
OH LORDY!!!!!! what a delectable trio!! One word though...... WHY????
 14.
... anything like this (apart from the changed bridge/pickups/knobs!) ??.... :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Aye, funny how time dulls the memory, thought they were a bit sexier than that....
 15.
They had a walnut one of these in Maurice Plaquet's when I was working their as a Saturday boy in the late 70s. It was my favourite bass in the shop. I used to spend ages thinking up ways to steal it without getting caught.
I loved the walnut Kramers back in the late 70's, I too lusted after one that hung on the wall in White's in Sunderland As I recall it was a king's ransom at around £400 - bearing in mind I was on £22 a week back then I could only dream good luck with the sale
 16. WOW! What a blast from the past. That amp is the same as my first PA amp one or two years back Amazing people hung onto these, I always needed a hand to lift it anywhere Good luck with the sale, have a nostalgic bump on me
 17.
is this still for sale?
.........erm Yes Roll up! Roll up! And yes chuck yer reet, this is reet luverly sounding
 18.
Oooh, I do like that...
....well get yer dosh out man, either it sells or I'm removing the bottom B string and it's going back on the road as a four string with a wide neck
 19.
What's the scale length on this bass, is it a 35"? Any trades accepted or sale only?
Yes it's a 35'' scale, and for sale only for reasons above chuck Hang on, that sounded like I was in Coronation Street
 20.
I've played Warwicks for 20 odd years and despite dabbling with a multitude of other basses I always come back to Warwick; in particular the NT Streamers (the earlier the better)... my Corvette/Infinette comes a close 2nd. A couple of recent GAS purchases have reinforced that I'm sticking to my Warwick (i.e. they are up for sale), though I'll still admire other basses.
That is an amazing collection Mr Hunt
 21. My Warwick 1998 NT Thumb is the dogs bits. That is all.
