They're pretty new out. Thomann had a 4 string for £1,200 a few months ago but I'm still yet to see one in the flesh. Haven't seen one second hand yet either.

Does it have to be fender? If not the Lakland Duck Dunn is a monster.

Neckdive on every jazz bass I've ever played while sitting down. Drives me up the wall.

Squiers CV and VM ranges are incredibly good instruments for the money. Maruszczyk Elwood's start at €890 which is just under £650. They're getting some serious BC love at the moment

Gorgeous! Personally I'd have kept the matching headstock, but that looks amazing (as I said personally). I imagine getting an already good bass modified to that degree and having an improved version of it back must if anything be better than getting an actual new bass. Congrats!
