2.
I have a hankering for one of these but I am really put off by the "JAKE" logo on them I know that is shallow but I just cant get my head around it it just seems so crap and tacky it would be OK if your name was Jake I guess I think if it wasn't for that I would seriously be thinking of pulling the trigger on one infact I may email and ask if I can have one without that logo.
Mines going to just have the M. Sibobs shoreline gold Jake has aswell.
 3.
And of course when yours arrives photos are required too!!
Absolutely. I'll probably post the "sofa shot" on here before I've had a good look at it
 4.
black everything 5 string with an ebony fingerboard, 3 Delano pickups on it, a MM/J, a P and a soapbar for the neck. All pickups have individual volumes so totally blendable, 2 band active EQ on a stackable pot. I want it to be stupidly versatile.
mine is a 4 string jake, black everything with P/Jazzbucker passive. Mine has a reversed head stock. Im excited to see yours!
 5.
So anyway I'm now destined for the next few months of checking this thread, checking my mail for updates and howling like a sad dog at the door until my custom Jake arrives.
What spec have you gone for mate?
 6.
Absolutely... It's great to have viable, competitively priced European alternatives to Fender for traditionally styled workhorse instruments.
+1
 7.
Now the, "When, when, when?" thoughts really ramp up. I'm just 5 weeks in and I'm trying to remain calm, but I did start ogling my photo mock up yesterday. Any word?
Yup! I am chomping at the bit. from what I hear its not uncommon for it to be another 2 or 3 weeks atleast. Mine has a reversed headstock aswell so I'm not sure if that would make it take longer as I can't see that they've made a reversed headstock before.
 8. So 10 weeks after my order was placed is officially tomorrow!!!!
 9. I would try to keep the nanyo aswell if at all possible. I dare say you'll regret getting rid in a few years.
 10. It's ugly AF. I wouldn't touch it with yours lol.
 11.
So I've been listing after the 5 string Musicman Stingray HH stealth black because.. I mean.... Look at it. http://s141.photobucket.com/user/brendon8303/media/Guitars/Music%20Man/16MusicmanStingray5HH_03.jpg.html I was after the HH for the flexibility but I was figuring if I get Adrian to make a "Stealth Black" 5 string Jake with a split coil, tappable humbucker and active/passive switch I could probably cover off the P, traditional Stingray and Jazz bridge sounds.. What do you think? Would it fit the bill? I know there's a lot of love for Maruszczyk basses and the guy seems to be at his prime in a pre-CBS Fender way at the moment, so I'm tempted to get one instead of the Stingray.
I've got a blacked out Jake on the way. I'll be sure to post pics when it comes
 12. I literally cannot wait for my Jake now.
 13.
They would have had some time out for NAMM I expect. Mine took 13 weeks deposit to my door. Si
Gives me about another 4 weeks then
 14. My order was December 10th so god knows when I'll actually recieve it. I'm sure Adrian originally quoted 10 weeks. Still, can't be far off. I'm hoping to get it soon
 15.
The trouble is I like them all...
can you justify/afford 5 P basses?
 16.
I'm GASing for a P bass and one of these could fit the bill just nicely.... how to decide that's the real question
The silver one looks great. I'd be going for that If I didn't already have my custom Jake on order. Literally cannot wait for it to turn up. I've got about another 2 weeks I think. The suspense is killing me. I can't wait for the couch photo.
 17.
Cranes in Cardiff were asking £3,000 for an early 70s P last time I went in!
The rule of thumb seems to be that cranes prices are about double that of a anywhere else.
 18. The cutlass reminds me of my 80 blazer. I like it.
 19. Has anyone seen photos of the entire basses yet?
 20. They look pretty cool! I'm probably late to the party but i didnt realise there was now a neck-thru stingray either.
