I'm not sure how much ply you've seen but I can assure you that categorically isn't true! The phenolic adhesive which holds ply together does not fill the voids.
Absolutely. I have a work bench I made out of 18mm Far East Ply and it's got so many voids it looks reminiscent of Emmental. You can massive voids in cheap far east ply, I've used it quite a lot for various things, and the adhesives used to stick it all together goes no where to filling the voids.

I played an Ibanez SR and a Yamaha TRBX before I bought the V7. Both the Ibanez and Yamaha have thin necks, jazz (38mm) nut and are very shallow from front to back. The V7 is a bit thicker from front (fretboard) to back, but it's not something that's given me any problems. Actually, I've found I quite like that little extra thickness. I find it very comfortable to play and I've got the crap fingers for playing any musical instrument.

I saw Dan's review and it's what a review should be. It's also backed up by a more in depth written piece. They don't call Dan Dood for nuffin'

I don't know what bored me more, the new Muse album or this 'review'. I've heard the new Muse album and was underwhelmed by it. It's not as daft as the last two efforts, but it's just a bit meh! After you've read one of that blokes, so called, reviews you've pretty much read them all. Formulaic, derivative....
He is not bring commissioned though is he? He is a freelance whose trade is being restricted
He was being hired by a publication. If he doesn't get paid for the photos he took don't get used that's between him and the publication. Swift, clearly regards her image as she does her music and wants as much control as possible. If she wants control over where her image appears that's entirely up to her. The photographer states that taking photos at concerts barely covers costs, so don't do it. Doing certain gigs for bands isn't economical, so they don't do it. His reasoning doesn't stack up.

As already stated, don't forget the batteries and don't leave it with the jack. Personally I leave the EQ on an active centred and use the EQ on an amp to tweak my sound. Although, why having bass, treble and possibly middle frequency controls on a bass is confusing is baffling it itself...just adjust them if you feel you need to. It's not complicated.

Taylor Swift's music is still not available on Spotify so I doubt very much if this is some PR stunt. She's an established artist with enough clout to make Apple look like a greedy corporate arse. Thankfully it'll mean musicians won't be footing the bill for Apple's new experiment (which will probably flop anyway).
And finally, here it is!
That's a TRBX305. Firstly, Yamaha don't do the 500's in bright red. What you're describing as the single switch along the top line of knobs and the knob along the bottom is probably the light reflecting off of the screws that keeps the the 'performance EQ' selector in place. It's definitely a 305.
D'oh! I know! I was just having a bit laugh and a joke. What do you think the ' ' was for?
I do apologise, it looked like someone with indigestion

NBD - Maruszczyk Jake PJ... Fender / Sandberg / Lakland killer?

That sounded really good. Great tone(s) -
You're probably not cursed Guitarist I was in a band with a few years ago had a Blackstar combo, brand new. It spent several months back and forth getting repaired

Whether the remaining members of a band can go through the songs or no without a drummer is a total irrelevance. If a BAND is to sound tight and cohesive it needs to practice as a band, everyone listening to EVERYTHING that is going on, working together. Anyone who is absent will always feel they are playing catch when they get back, that can be a bad move IMO. If anyone can't keep track of time then they need to sort that out in their own time. Rehearsal space isn't cheap for most.
Well you know, I don't want to be banging on and on about it all the time.
Quite right. Always best to be discreet
I don't think I've ever mentioned it on this forum, but it must be my 1976 Precision. Been with me all its life except for four years after I rashly sold it. But I did buy it back, so I claim the extra points for that! One day I really must take some pictures of it and post them on BC...
You've got a p-bass? Really? You never said. For me it's my Sire V7 Jazz, my most recent purchase. Something about that bass really clicks at the moment.

If I'm in a band that intends to perform in public then I'm only interested in rehearsing (I don't do practises, that's usually a byword for someone tipping up not having done their homework) as a band. Everyone there or I don't turn up.

Wise decision

Looks great. Would be interesting to see a shot of it next to the Hayman, for comparison

They were very good last night. Sensible was very entertaining. A good 90min set. The only downside was the sound/mix. Maybe it's my hearing but I couldn't hear Dave Vanian for most of the gig and the bass, drums and low end of the keys was a bugger awful sludge IMO. And, I know it's terribly un-Punk to say so but it was too loud. Excessive volume IMO just makes for a crap sound.

I'm going to write it down and ask my eldest's schoolmate's Dad, he's Polish Back to the bass. I think WoT's new bass looks WAAAAY better than the Lakland and I really like the Lakland.
