Amazing work you had done with amazing results, it looks brilliant .
5.
Put flatwounds on and never change them again!
Done just that and for that very reason.
6. Absolutely stunning
7. The bass looks great hope when you finish the setup, it's everything you'd hoped that it would be . For my 21st birthday my Dad bought me a secondhand Peavey T-40 (stolen years ago ), often thought about replacing it but the weight of it was heavy then I'm 48 now don't think I could wear it for long .
8.
Win win!
Same here nice one
9.
I found that, despite liking MIMs, Squiers, CIJs, Sig Series etc, the ones for me are the US Standards. It may be "label-conciousness" or something, but I just feel more comfortable with them. Nothing wrong with the others, but to me there is always something, that I can`t specify mind, missing with them.
It took me 27 years & a few attempts to love the Precision bass, but like Lozz196 the new American Standard Precision changed all that for me .
10. What about the Rumble 200? I looked at the 100 but preferred the 15" speaker as to the 1 x12.
11. Do the 2010 Precisions have the Custom Shop pickups?
12. Another vote for a pickup change for the 2010 Precision bass.
13. Love it, though I would never want to transport it .
14. Looks great
15. Very nice & a great colour.
16. Agreed it is a nice looking bass.
17. Enjoyed watching that .
18. Nice mods and you have a bass that will serve you well for years to come. IIRC the pickups are the same that are on the American Standard Precisions, that was one of the reasons why I bought it.
19. That is a stunning looking bass
20. A new set of strings & if needed a quick setup you never know, the pickups may surprise you. Still a nice looking bass though .
21. You have a great bass there for what you said, the price of a modern Squier.Looking forward to seeing pictures with the chrome parts put back on, what are the original pickups like?
22. Same here had one which I bought for next to nothing,& if I hadn't needed to sell it to help with a vet bill I would still own it.
23. Glad you got your bass back, you can never put a value on sentimental items. I don't play my 1964 Hofner violin bass but I couldn't bring myself to sell it though had it since 1988.
24. This was my favourite Tokai bass
