1.
We both know that's a lie!
Haha, well.....never say never......but I'd genuinely struggle to improve on any of this I think! So unless I change the format/layout etc, I think this is as good as it gets for this size of board. Don't get me wrong, I have other boards for different things that get changed a lot.....but this has been basically constant for at least a year, the only recent change was to put the Sub'n'Up on in place of the Mooer Tender Octaver. Si
2.
Quite possibly the worst-played and most ill-chosen sound clips I've ever encountered. I wouldn't buy a second-hand Westfield based on those clips.
Really? I think they're perfectly fine for what they are. I've definitely heard a LOT worse! I wouldn't buy any bass off the back of sound clips alone, good or bad. Si
3. This is where I'm at: Fully refined now I think Si
4. I'd much rather enquire as to whether Serek Basses would make a 5 string version of their Sacramento bass: https://www.serekbasses.com/sacramento Si
5. I'm massively impressed with the flexibility of the S'n'U Mini, that said, I'm only using it as an octave up pedal. On the sub knob, I've changed that to increase/decrease upper octave drive, and I still have the clean blend as a clean blend....I may change that as Dood has suggested above as I do tend to run the clean at 100% all the time. As is my broken record response, my absolute go-to low octave will always be the OC-2, there's nothing better to my ears (COG T-xx series comes incredibly close though), so on my 'main' board, I have an OC-2 for one octave down, and the S'n'U Mini for octave up.....this is the best combination for me! On my larger board, I have a T-16 for the extra filter control, and an Earthquaker Devices Organizer for upper octaves (although it does lows too), just because it's a little more characterful with the lag and choir controls. I think essentially I'm not a big fan of digital octave downs (unless they're actively trying to emulate analogue octave downs), but the POG/Mooer/TC standard digital octave down doesn't sound great to me. But the S'n'U Mini has the best octave up I've heard next to the Line6 M series (which are big pedals obviously), and I came from a POG/Mooer Tender. Si
6.
Japan Octave 505500, March 1985. Currently residing in Sheffield but about to appear in the For Sale section! ☹️
Added to the database Si p.s. Don't sell it
7.
I vaguely remember reading that Jon Shuker had built a couple of 5 string Ric copies, don't know if anyone knows about that? Or if I made it up in my head.
They were 6ers actually, can be seen here: http://www.shukerguitars.co.uk/pwatson.html Si
8. Sent it to him yet? He'll love it Si

11.
I was undecided about the nut. Still am. Also changed my mind and will opt for the standard bridge and Delano pickup. I'll keep looking at the pic while I am away!
I didn't like their standard bridge, it's solid enough, but adjusting intonation is overly fiddly and a bit annoying. I would pay the extra and have a hipshot if you don't go with the mono-rail. Si

Anyone had any thoughts on this vs the Eventide H9? (aside from the fact that patches cost extra on the H9). Si
18. Ooooo, a boxed black label MIT!? Not too many of them around! If I didn't already have one, I'd be on it! GLWTS Si
19. M25 southbound is pretty slow, probably a result of M3 closure Si
20. Someone mentioned the FX-25B earlier, that sounds great, I really liked it, but it had a very noticeable volume dip when switched in, so unfortunately useless for me live. If they reissued it (as they've been doing recently) with that particular foible resolved, I'd definitely have one! Si

22.
Can you explain this in easy words so I can relay it to a curious old person. thanks!
They make the individual bass, guitar, drum, vocal audio tracks available. If you have recording software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase etc, you can import the individual instruments you want as a backing track, and play along. The suggestion here is that you can load everything but the bass part and 'be Joe Dart' for a bit I'm seeing them in London tomorrow, thought I was going to miss it due to playing myself, but gig got cancelled......hooorray! Si
23. I put the Hipshot version on a JV Squire Jazz maybe 6months ago, I felt it made an instant positive difference! I actually have a lot of time for Hipshot products, they seem to nail it every time! Si
24. I've gigged with just a Midget and they're deceptively loud (with my Markbass Little Marks)!! They obviously benefit for a bit of elevation closer to your ear. A guitarist mate has a couple of the Treble N Bass amps, slightly older, with the original cabs (which were 1x15 I think). I've done some recording through them, and I don't think it's the cab situation that will be your issue. They're just 50 Watt tube amps, so putting bass through them, they're probably going to start breaking up before you get to a medium gig volume.....which might be the tone you're after. Si
25. I should say that I'm not suggesting "buy the MXR, it's all you need", just that it's my experience that it's brilliant. I would actually also say "buy them all" and see which you prefer, if you buy used, you won't lose much (or anything) if you then sell them on. Si
