You'll be sorry when you want a 1.75 x.64 brass screw and nobody else in the world has one . Karl.

Further PM's replied to. Had offers up to £400, but that was including courier. Not going to do that, wife want's a bass selling, not me . If a trade comes about, I'll just tell her the one I get will be easier to sell on ( and then "struggle" to sell it). Anyway, firm £400 collected, £430 insured, delivered. £749 new and it only has 3 or 4 tiny dints (one on the front). See my feedback link in the 1st post. Would you sell it for any less? Cheers, Karl.

Sorry Mods if this is in the wrong place. The company below have the world's worst web site but what they stock is incredible (in terms of nuts, bolts,m screws etc). Recently they have been the ONLY place where I could get the following: 1. Correct length/diameter bridge saddle screw for Japanese '75 re-issue, Even Allparts don't have them. 2. Hex headed tiny screw for the INSIDE the shaft of the tuners on my Attitude Special. Absolutely brilliant place. Charged me £1 for the 4 tiny hex screws and gave me another 4 the same, with Phillips head, just in case. Karl.
And here it is (crap pics, better later) Martin Simms custom Jazz neck, ebony board, stunning birdseye maple; Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarterpounders, Badass II, very nice early 90's Squier Precision body (CAR?). It sounds how it looks, rock 'n' roll
That is fantastic Chris. 1st dibs (did I really write that?) if it comes up for sale. Karl.
The chap who's selling this approached me about a swap for my John Birch Rickenfaker - I did a bit of research and this has been around for ages in various sales/swaps forums, its not a particularly desirable bass and they tend to go for the 300 quid mark and that is all original excellent condition. The chap was friendly enough however (until I mentioned cash to balance the value) and I think genuine - he probably thought it was the model associated with Stuart Sutcliffe. I wouldn't bother as your Jazz would fetch far more - swap you for my JB plus cash!
Tempting Ash, but, I must repeat, No more bloody basses, No more bloody basses, No more ................. . Karl.
-
I qualify then. Now, what car can I nick worth £7.5k, back pocket? Nah, won't bother.
-
Bummer you got a rough one. Most folk who've had HW1's seem to have really liked them. Fender eh . Good luck, Karl.

Love my Lakky DJ (2008, Korea), only thing I changed was scratchplate to Mirrored from White (should have got red tortie, but heh ho). Never noticed any issues, best bass I've ever played. Karl.

Thanks lads, top class as ever. I don't actually want anymore bloody basses, I'm just weak . Karl.

4 String Strat Head Fender Bass Guitar

Tom = Data? Screen, meet coffee . Karl. -
It's got a case, which is far from standard. I would personally contact and tell him, "if you ever decide you will accept £420 for it , cash, collected, would you give me a call please"? Probably worth that now I would think. As ever, it's down to how many people looking at it, and how desperate he is to sell. Good luck, Karl.

Think the last second hand one in great condition went for £380 on here. Second hand value on Fenders generally does not seem to be keeping up with the big price increase on new ones, that we have seen this year (IMO). Makes 2nd hand even better value. I had a first series Highway 1 and it was probably the best value (and playing! ) USA Fender Jazz I have owned. Good luck whatever. Karl.

Sorry fender73, this one is now mine. Has a much wider neck than I thought, thought I'd dropped a clanger at first. After sanding 16 years of sweat off it, and doing some other work on it, it has become the "take to gig as back up to my P". Like it so much, having to sell my Aerodyne Jazz to get the Mrs off my back. (3 basses, grudgingly OK, 4 basses, sell one or face the wroth ). Karl.
-
Ye Gods, wish I had your skills, smashing job, well done. Karl.

I've just been offered one of the 500/3? in straight swap for the Aerodyne Jazz I'm selling. Apparently early 60's in good nick. Have I dropped a clanger here? Karl. Edited, found it, linky below, comments chaps please?
Do you really wanna see some pics of my old Black Eagle ? . . . If so I'll start a new topic . . . you choose which forum it should be in - and I'll start a topic and post up some pics ! Dont want to derail FourStrungs topic here which is clearly focused on "Jazz neck feel with Precision sound" . . . something which is well worth searching for in my opinion so a good topic to keep going ! ! Cheers,
Yup please! You have enough gear to have your own topic on the Gear Porn thread, could spookily be called Nostromo's Gear Porn . Karl. Ps good luck FourStrung.

OOPS, missed the original topic. Anyway, shameless plug, I have a Japanese Aerodyne for sale, P/J config, jazz neck, just have a look in the for sale bit, under Karlfer. Good luck whatever you do. Karl.
Hi guys, I am a relative newbie on bass, been playing guitar until now but due to difficulty of finding a suitable bassist where I live in rural France I have taken up the bass and quite enjoying it now I am getting into it more. I have a donated Wawrick Standard Rockbass that while is quite playable, doesn't give me the sound I would prefer to have. Playing in a 4pce blues rock band for fun mainly, the odd gig for a few beers and plate of food if lucky. This week I played a Fender Jazz and a Squier Precision – this has just caused me more problems as I love the Jazz neck but the Precision sound. Now I need to find a bass that can deliver the two elements but cost no more that a Fender J or P. Looking for some pointers as I am a long way from any good guitar shops and dont want to start from scratch if a take a day out to go and test a few. I really like the look of the Squier Jaguar, they do a model with a humbucker or jazz & p style split but not sure about a Squier. I really want to step up on quality and sound of the Rockbass. Welcome any advice and suggestions Thanks
Aw, God, you've got a Black Eagle . I stupidly tried one of those and a Shaftesbury Tele bass at the same time. I stupidly bought the Tele (on a years HP) and I've regretted it ever since. Black Eagle photo's pretty please. Whaddya mean off topic? Karl.
