For Sale: Fender American Standard Precision Bass

Cracking gig at the Flying Horse in Rochdale, marvellous place that still gets packed out. I rarely venture onto this page, but it was a disappointing night for me. Spent the last two weeks gently working in my only ever new cab, a newly acquired Barefaced S12V. Despite thinking it would be broken in, 1st set farting out with the Yamaha. Cutting bass and mids helped a bit, but not a lot. Second set used my Precision, which in fairness was a good bit better. Neither bass is active. The big disappointment with the P was that I had to increase the master volume around 40% to get the same volume as I used to get with my Schroeder 410BMF. Live and (expensively) learn. Karl.

Nice, but far too much for bolt neck Arbiter. I also seem to remember Aria managed the word Aria in the UK at the time http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/300858481903?roken=W5R9nV
Just to follow up on this one. What should have happened here is that a collection is made from each customer to send their amp in for inspection and it is returned promptly once "made safe" if in the unlikely case it is one of the tiny number of affected units. All of this is totally done at our cost. When James took it into his dealer, the amp was sent off to the service centre correctly by Nevada. However it wasn't tagged as a recall our end hence they and us couldn't locate the amp quickly. Really sorry for the confusion and it was totally our fault. As I've said previously it's the first time in the company's history that we've ever had a product recall so there were some teething issues relating to everybody being “on message” in the first 24 hours. Had the amp been brought into the dealer a day later none of this would have happened in this way. Nevada do in our experience have a first class service reputation and have always done a great job for us in the past, so as way of saying sorry for the extended timeframe please get in touch with Roy in the Store when you collect your amp and he'll have something nice waiting for you
Not Amanda Righetti is it
a) It works. It works perfectly. It may not work for you but that's another story. b ) Actually no. I don't need to tell where my ideas come from. Because I don't care in the same way an amateur bass player doesn't get better than he needs to get. The main difference here is that it's not me demanding to be respected in a philosophical forum... but here all amateurs and inmstrument collectors demand their views to be respected as if they were the ultimate truth. I'm very sorry but that's not going to happen. Not until you know more than me in my field. My apologies but that's the way it is and it has nothing to do with peoples value as human beings. It's all about knowing your place....You get that point don't you? It's your urge to know were my thinking comes from so its your job. You have the tools, not me. People use math all the time without knowing the theoretical part. Does it mean they can't use math?... Please.
It beggars belief that you assume everbody on here is not up to your standard. How on earth do you come to your conclusions? Some of our members WILL be more accomplished musicians than your good self. My assumption. Your assumptions are getting to the laughable stage now.
Nail on head mate. I've been recommended CD's and after buying them I've only played them once because I've thought it was nothing but a din. But the music has moved someone, maybe to take up playing an instrument. Which is brilliant. My favorite saying........You don't listen to music..you feel it. If my ears and brain give the music I hear a big thumbs up...top notch. I won't loose any sleep if i see a guy play bass and there's a little fret buzz or his technique is crap...it's all in the ears...thumbs up or down. I don't really care if some techno bass playing wizzard thinks my playing is crap......I go out with the band, have a good time, get loads of satisfaction when the band locks together and rocks and wait for it...................have fun. I have no desire to be a bass playing wizzard because the music I play don't demand it, and I don't have time to put in as much practice as I should. There are more important things in life.
No John, THAT is nail on head!
Please take your hatred somewhere else, we're trying to have a conversation here.
Not hatred, I would have to care in some way to hate you. Sadly you come across as somewhat blinkered. For the third time of asking, why is your Yamaha bass the best on here? Sorry WOT. saw his wonderful diatribe against you the other day. I just want an answer as to why his Yamaha is the best bass on here.
Clowns entertain me. Pole dancers entertain some. Even magicians are supposed to entertain people. Coltrane impresses me. You need to learn the real meaning of words...entertainment is shallow and fugitive, to me entertainment has to do with having fun. It has to do with putting up a show. It's doesn't amaze for what it is, it wants to amaze because its interested in something the audience has to give. Entertainment doesn't give love freely, it's conditional. Am I really that wrong?
Just can't give it a rest can you! By the way, on your Yamaha for sale, you state it is the best bass on here. I asked you why. You ignored my question. So one can only assume it is another piece of your arrogant, "I am right, you are mainly inferior to me" attitude.

My Lakland DJ4. Stunning, great to play, doesn't suit the band. My beat up old Yam Att Special first, all the time.
