1.
No, but I seriously doubt it's even close to that number.
Tongue in cheek? I haven't caused any trouble for over a week, not even at home
2. In a Utopian pipe dream 26,100 members at £20 per head must be a bit of profit Actually 5000 members paying £20 wouldn't be a bad return would it?
3. Patience is a rare virtue These are neither uncommon or expensive basses. You may find it less costly to wait for another one to come up that doesn't have concerns. It may cost you £100 to buy this one then £100 to fix it. It may cost you £150 for a nigh on perfect one delivered. Don't forget Gumtree and Preloved. Good luck, Karl.
4.
I don't know how you are fixed financially, but Jon Letts basses are wonderfully light and I'm sure he could work something out for you.
I've seen Alain@s Letts bass and it is stunning! Weighs about the same as a neutron (ok that's not accurate but you get the point!)
5. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sold

A "what's that green beastie lurking in your avatar?" bump
7.
Waffen at work.... https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing
8. Stunning, have a bump.
9. Wonderful band, seen several times. Back to OT, last night I just started singing The Philosophers Song by Python. I can't have heard it for well over 30 years and yet it popped into my mind complete. Mind, there's plenty of room for it nowadays
10. So what about those of us with things like a Shuttle 6? Most people say put everrything at 12 o'clock but I don't really know how to use the Mids boost/cut or what frequency to boost or cut. The Terror I had was great after the valves were changed, so easy to use and such a great rock sound.
11.
Thanks. Not being a Tull fan, I had to YouTube them and discovered that Mr John Evans may have been part inspiration for Viv Savage! But, back on thread. I wonder what the 'waffen think of this thread? Doubtless they are discussing it via PM. Nothing on the RRF forum, though.
Hiya Stacker. I am sure they are aware of it but doubt it will make any difference to their attitude. It would be so simple really. They would get so much more empathy for their cause if Mr. Hall just behaved with more civility. This has been pointed out so many times in so many places to no avail. I have never had a snotty email from him, despite having sold a couple of fakers over the last two years. I wonder which side of me would respond, the civil calm side, or the psycho that emerges when some muppet does a stupid driving thing
12. It's all been discussed time and time again. He is principled enough to wish to protect his way of life and the people he is involved with. His approach, particularly to private sellers, is horrible and that is what annoys people. I have always liked Rick's and copies. I have not had any quality issues with any of the ones I have had. Just some of them haven't quite "fitted my hand". I don't give Mr. Hall my money, as I always buy second hand. I no longer rise to his very irritating, bullying attitude. There again, he is not the first irritating, bullying yank I have come across.
13. You see, after you took this down, my Lakkie sold. If this had been up for sale at the time I would have had it. All about timing isn't it . As it is I have had that 4004 on hold for nearly two weeks as getting to meet up with the seller has proved challenging. Bump for a stunning bass, it won't be around long Nige.
14.
Well the way the market is going it'll probably still be here! Trade you this and my GB Rumour for your Alembic
Nice try Ash We've both had a few basses over the years, but I never realised how much better an Alembic is, to everything I've had before. Good luck with the sale (I think ) Bump. Karl.
15. Gutted this has come up just after I've blown the last of my gig money Ash (incoming 4004C). Unlikely it will still be here but I should have enough by April! All the best mate and bump.
16. That one is working fine now ped, think I may have just clicked onto it when it was literally just going on.
17. Same just happened again, top item in amps, "feeler for sale or trade" started by fettsman. Edit, forget that, it's just worked on that one
18. When I went to look at both the basses for sale and amps for sale, there were ads there for items that did not appear when in the sub forums. I clicked on one in the main sub forum page, that was showing to be the top item, and got a you do not have permission notice. I don't ask for notifications of any kind, I prefer the surprise I can access for example the basses for sale. When I went in 15 minutes ago, the most recent ad showing was something like a 67 jazz, yet when I opened the sub forum up, the Dolphin was the top item, the jazz nowhere to be seen. I went back to the sub forum main page, the jazz was still showing as top item. I clicked it and it said " you don't have permission" Same thing with amps and cabs, it was something like "Mark Bass, Marco 111", again no permission.
19. I'm a bit lost here, because I'm dim. It appears I can't look at all of the classifieds. That is presumably because I haven't paid a subscription as yet, only noticing this today. So, if I was to advertise a bass for sale and pay my £7, does that mean non-subscribers won't see my ad? The same question applies if I pay my £20 subscription, can none subscribers see my ad? Like I said, I am dim and will almost certainly have missed the blindingly obvious.

Gone!

Objection Ash M'lud, photo shows 1980 (new) thru neck Kasuga in my grubby mitts. Jeez, when did I get so fat
21. Yup, people just don't know how staggeringly excellent Alembics are until they get their hands on them. Me included .
