Ok,I decided to ask here rather than in the Tech bit, hoping for as big and audience as possible. My basses sound good in the mix of the band (basses, not playing ) however, I do a lead part in "You really got me" and I do about 40 seconds of Jaco's version of Blackbird followed by barre chords intro to "Doctor Doctor" ( quiet, the punters love the numbers! ). The bass just does not sound really powerful and in your face when I do these parts despite it being heard very well in the mix. I currently do not use any pedals/effects of any kind. Is there some kind of pedal that will just give me that extra decibel, or is it just turn amp up then back down again? Answers here and not on a postcard please. Thanks in advance peeps. Karl.

I have no problem with the fee, I'm a gear tart who is never happy, bit of a game really . One unexpected side issue now is this. If I saw something on FEEBay that was nice bass, that our members would like a look at, I would contact the FEEBayer, inform them about Basschat, and tell them to join and put their bass up on here, free. I have probably introduced 15/20 new members that way. I can't do that now as they would obviously have to pay at least £7. There is a cracking Yam Att Special on there at the moment. He knows little about it. I have given him some info, however, I haven't recommended he put it on BC.
What's just as annoying is ordering a Bass for delivery next Saturday when the wife is supposed to be working and her boss changes her shift so she'll be there when it arrives. I guess I'll have to tell her about it when it arrives :-D
On the "deal with confidence ometer" Pete is a 10. Great bloke, very easy deal, bass was everything and more than he described. Cheers Pete, all the best fella, Karl.

So what's the script with active bass, 4 controls, vol, pan, bass, treble? -
You may want to edit post #5 so it reads the same as post #1. Less confusion then. Be very careful with FEEBay, you need to put a decent reserve on. In the last few weeks a 60 Anni has gone for £666 and an 81 Fullerton for £675. Both of those a year ago would have been pushing £900 and more. It really is a very difficult time to sell and that is very much reflected in the price paid for basses that have actually sold. You really do need to have that difficult patience thing. Good luck, KARL.

How old is it, where do you live, what's the action like, what weight is it, can you put close up photos on here via photo bucket? One man's great condition is another mans train wreck. I am a 54 year old dinosaur but even I managed to figure out how to put up decent photos (see the advert attached to my signature below). If it is still here tomorrow and my Rick is picked up tomorrow, I am interested, but I need to see photos. I certainly wouldn't spend £650 on the strength of the one above. Good luck regardless, Karl. -
Just seen it on Faecesbook. Amazing tribute of respect and love.
Ah , Inti ! ( I think that is what he was called ) . I see what you mean . At least he had the excuse of not having English as a first language . This guy is way more f***ed up than Inti , I fear .
Skank was right about getting stocked up on cans and water then.

Guessing you missed the thread about a month ago with the whole art, performer, gear clown whore thingy. I am still laughing about the chap now. (ah, no you didn't, in Skanks follow up Dingus said " some opinions are not permissable ) My mrs says that as well.
