1.
WOW.. I need to spend more time on here.. !
I don't and I still missed it
2.
£20 delivery, I've just posted a Bass in a proper box for £7.50
Is that with insurance? I find Interparcel as cheap as that, until you put the insurance on.
3. Fantastic Loz, Alembic at Fender price and weight I'm only a couple of hundred quid short, off to the off-license for me I think
4. As per post one, long gone, sorry.
5. Our drummer is outside waiting for the AA man because he has a puncture and removing the virtually welded on alloy is beyond the strength of the 4 of us. But that was last night. Brilliant vid, cheers for that
6.
Hi there BC! For sale is my baby. I'll be sad to see it go, but financially I can't afford to have the amount of instruments that I do just lying around. I'm looking for £650 collected for this bad boy. Sadly delivery/courier is not avaiable due to lack of shipping resources. http://i47.tinypic.com/2d6v1p1.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/14iperq.jpg
Go to Halfords, ask them for a used bike box. Go to B and Q get a roll of bubble wrap. Advertise the bass as £30 insured courier delivery, paid for by buyer (that is UK price). When sold, book it in through Interparcel (incuded in £30 is payment for £750 insurance). It's a tough market. Restricting yourself to a tiny part of the UK won't help you. With the greatest of respect, if you want to sell it, you will need to put your back into it. Good luck, Karl.
7. Guess it's this one, in 8 ohms. http://www.markbass....etail.php?id=33
8. Yup, one of my ex basses. Very nice piece of kit and James was a great guy to deal with. Was sold by me on FEEBay mid last year, to raise funds for my next "must have", whatever that was at the time . Only major thing I can see missing from your ad is if you will take any trades against the bass. Someone will ask. Good luck with the sale James. Cheers, Karl.
9. Bloody 'ell scouse wig (previous avatar?) that is CHEAP for a DJ4. IF I ever even contemplated flogging mine there would be another ton on top of that Ooops, commentating on a Mods thread about price. Slap me silly and call me Sally Karl (Sally at weekends)
10. Photos definitely on now, thanks to Hutton, a genius.
11.
I literally went from elation to despair reading that post. Edit: I'm not wild about the pickguard - but that's easily changed, I do love the 5th fret inlay
I emailed last night, asking the question. I had a reply back within an hour despite them being busy in NAMM. Looking at various threads on here, Facebook and probably TB, I reckon they would be daft not to!!!
12. Lakland's Geezer Butler P. Brian from Lakland confirms there are no plans for a Skyline version
13. More pm's replied to. The Wolverhampton contingent mentioned cash
14. Unlikely Beardy, he's not been online since Nov 3rd last year. Try pm'ing him. Best of luck, Karl.
15. Bump for a great bass and geezer!
16. Now reduced to £400 collected from Wigan, £450 couriered mainland Britain. Bought a bass this morning so no trades now I'm afraid. First post amended. It is still up on FEEBay, I would far prefer it went here, but I ain't going to let it go any cheaper than it is now. This is " boutique" stuff tha knows Cheers, Karl.
17. Well done barkin, a bleedin' credit guv!
18.
I was thinking along those lines too! I've currently got three amp heads here that I'd gladly loan if anybody's stuck.
Typical superb Basschatter, well done that man!
19. Been there, done this sh*t in the 70's. Every gig I do now, I bring £2500 of gear, 35 years of experience and on average 7 hours of my time. If you aren't paying me you are taking the piss and will get it right back at ya. These people are not promoters they are lazy twats taking the piss out of the gullible. If you do it, more fool you. You have more chance getting famous by doing some excellent you tube videos.
20. How about setting up a temporary thread for amp loans? There are some superb people on here. If somebody has their TC away for repair, they put up a post on the thread for where they are and when they need an amp to bail them out? I am sure plenty of us will help a local member if we can. Cheers, Karl.
21. For those unfortunate enough to be in this position................. They are some superb people on Basschat, how about setting up some kind of amp loan thread, whereby if somebody is without one for a gig, they may be able to get a loan amp from somebody local? Just think it may help rather than stressing about getting your TC back in time. I know the ideal solution would be TC setting up loan amps, but this may not be practical. Just a thought. Good luck to all of you.
22. There was a time not long ago when Schroeders went within a couple of hours of coming up. Fashion is a fickle mistress . Wonderful cab, good luck.
23. So, collection preferred, but would you courier it?
24. Get this bought peeps before I do something I will regret
