Don't worry, Karl. I'm not allowed to mention my new cab on the forum as I will be accused of fanboi-ism.
I have a GK MB500 Fusion and a Tecamp Black Jag 500. I presume that the Black Jag is basically a Puma with some whistles and bells added. I don't really use any of the whistles and bells (like bass or treble boost or compression) and have the eq pretty much flat all the time. The Tecamp is my 'go to' amp for gigging and to my mind it always delivers. I like straightforward punchy and clear sound with anything extra coming from pedals. The one thing the Fusion has is 2 switchable channels with their own gain which I like. It's a good sounding amp but I find the Tecamp more balanced and it seems to sit better in the mix somehow.
Pwhoarrrr Black Jag

I've not looked, but I think it will probably be no4, which is on Facebook at something daft like £1900. Quite a few internet comments around that there were quality issues with these basses. Last one I saw actually sell went for £900 couple of years back. Look great, but potential buyers really need to do their research on this one. EDIT, I've just looked, it was the same one and he's bloody sold it Good luck to the buyer if he doesn't get on with it

Have a look in the sub forum entitled double bass and EUB. Do a search there. Quite a few topics on what you are looking for. You don't say where you are from, but it looks like new TecAmp ar only available from the US now, which is going to make them pricey for Europe. Thomas Eich, who was TecAmp, has set a new business up called EICH Amplification. The new EICH'S look very similar in features to PUMA, just a new fascia. And a little more expensive. Good luck.
Um... I do have another rig in the offing actually. But that would be thread derailment, wouldn't it?
If you get Gary Mac's Schro because it's not a 410 mile round trip for you, one will be displeased.

Had a couple of recent deals with Jonny. He really is just such a great bloke. Absolute pleasure to deal with, every time. Fully recommended by Chewbacca's stunt double! All the best Jonny and enjoy Until the next time
I got the email as well...but I could only get one if I sold my Super Twin, and that really ain't going to happen. Life can be so cruel
i've just checked and I've got mail. I'm in the same boat as you. However, If I get two of them, and bring out my Duff- a -like '89 Jazz Bass Special and dye my wig, I can roll back the years. And possibly lift them

Yamaha Attitude Plus bass - what truss rod to adjust neck?
karlfer replied to Lysdexia's topic in Bass Guitars
Truss rod tool, or actual truss rod? Either way, might be an idea to ask here https://www.facebook.com/groups/294500090592/ Not specifically for your bass, but they may be able to help. Good luck. -
OK, if you insist Skipping through the alphabet then to Exhibit R: Rickenbacker 4004LK I had to wait quite a while to get my hands on one of these and it was definitely worth it. Despite my initial claims that it would be a player, it doesn't gigged because it's just too damn lovely. Far too ostentatious for some and a thing of beauty for others. Either way, it's a lovely bass to play and come back to from time to time. The edition run I think was somewhere in the order of 60 and this one is slightly unusual in that it's not quite as heavily oiled as others. The wings are individually hand carved and no two are the same. There are also some pick-up placement variations and there are some with only two pick-up's instead of three.
And the last one I saw sell on FEEBay (pushing 3 years ago?) went for $11,000 You can buy a house in Wigan for that Stunning bass.
£1070 for a MIM? Blue
I think it's Mex, but haven't actually chased that up. Don't forget when us Brits get new gear here from the states/Mexico, there is 20% VAT, plus big shipping costs plus Import duty.

Oh sh*t Muzz. I sold my back up rig (Streamliner 600, 2 x Focus 112LT's) a week or so back. When I plugged it in for the buyer to try I'd forgotten how good the Streamliner sounded. Now you do this to me (even though heart set on selling MB TTE, getting PUMA 900) Top bloke, top bit of kit. Good luck fella, doubt you'll need it
The Duff McKagan is a good example of how a sig instrument should be. The bass it`s modeled on is no longer in production, and many people like Duffs sound, so to me this one makes sense.
I think the current Duff is Mexican and around £1070 new The active "Power" model comes up quite frequently on here Lozz. The passive, original (about 84-91) rarely comes up. They are quite nice, i'll take a photo one day I'll have to dig the bloody bass out 1st!

Whilst I do have a vested interest in Jonny's sale, we have dealt a couple of times previously, and he is a lovely, top class bloke. However, unlike me, he is not a magpie gear whore who changes gear more than under crackers. These do not come up very often, so, to help him out a little, (copied) TC Electronic Staccato '51 Bass Head In response to Rocco Prestia's (Tower of Power's bassist) stringent needs, TC Electronic present the Stacatto '51.
