1. Just been to meet Kev, the hound and long suffering other half (don't mention the chicken ). Absolute pleasure to deal with, good laugh, decisive and a great bloke to boot. Enjoy melting the gaytartists face Kev, it's not as though you are FRIENDS Totally recommended, all the best and keep in touch.
2.
All well and good and I broadly agree, but everyone has to make a big effort to learn the material to the point where it can be played back to front, upside down and on one leg while facing east - underwater. What I mean is, without having to think about it or look at your fretboard. Otherwise any, er... 'stagecraft' is likely to compromise the quality of the performance.
I don't care how miserable I look, I'm NOT taking my bass underwater!
3.
MB1. ...BLACK!
Have you got a license for that brain Martin
4.
Wow Karlfer, that's a great looking faker! The bridge is a great compromise between that of the original, er, inspiration and something a lot more practical. Same kind of shape but no chance of tail lift :-)
Yup, so obvious when you see it isn't it.
5. And again further pm's replied. Nobody seems to have cash for this so perhaps time to put another bass up. One needs more funds and less black, black, maple
6. My old bass, amazing thing that should never have been sold Now, what to sell
7. Thanks Mike, try telling the punters that. Oh, wait a minute
8. Somebody mention birthday bumps?
9.
Your using a puma though and thats just cheating.
Yes yes yes I know, but that car cassette on top of those cabs hardly looks butch does it
10. We've had a chat Mike, guessing that it's the newer version with the full wooden box, rather than the original version with the sort of steel mesh top? Rest of you fill ya boots, I'm out of anything until one of my bits sell.
11. Class D. Note the gaytards are both mic'd up, as is the drummer. The bass isn't. "Heft" was noted
12. The forum above this one is entitled EUB and double basses. Try putting amp into the search box on the 1st page and see what comes up?
13. No idea where you are but you are welcome to try my PUMA 500 in Wigan, or I'm gigging at Ulverston (Lake District) Sat night. Good few threads on the amps you are considering so have a good search in this forum.
14.
yes, I got it from CBG... great bass, but somehow almost feels 'too new' for me, so I'll save up for a vintage one... maybe just too lazy to play it in ; )
You beat me to it by 3 hours. I had the cash then. Until I sell my USA Jazz, I won't have the cash. You will sell this 3 hours before I sell my jazz, it's the law
15. Thank you Mr. Floop, quite keen on mine, but gear whore's asthetic needs must Anybody wondering about the power of these tiny things, well, everybody else is mic'd up in the following photo. The bass isn't
16. Further pm's replied. Lee especially, if only it hadn't been black
17. Saw this on FEEBay and was tempted. Even more so when I see it's one of our own trusted long timers. What to do
18. Gary, for God's sake
19.
Is this the bass that was sold recently by Cotswold Bass Guitars? I recognise the pics from the CBG site. Lovely bass. Shame you can't hold on to it after just getting it.
And when David had it, I had the money. Unfortunately, I asked him about it three hours after he had sold it
20. Probably last bump, I know when I'm beaten Fairly sure the only way you can get a new TecAMP version now is from the states. That WILL be expensive. The new EICH T 500 which is Thomas's new company's version of this, is currently around £590, not including gig bag. Speculation I know, but it is likely these well thought of amps may well get harder to come by. Cheers, Karl.
21.
Mine has the same width as a typical Jazz, but is fatter from front to back.
Same here
22. Great looking bass, 'av a bump
23.
I'm sure that there's a few old shape Umbos still out there that I don't already own
Buggered if I can find one
