1. My Road Worn has had lots of trade offers, but no buyers, so this needs to go up sadly. 1989 Fender Japan Jazz Bass Special, Duff's was a slightly earlier 85 one of these. As it's later, it has the jazz neck, satin rear of neck (instead of black) and the bigger bridge, which like all of them has little bits of paint coming off. Colour is Turquiose, but, green in some light, blue in others. Lots of little dinks, swirls etc, but it is in good condition for 27 years old. The little Eddie Head position markers will peel off and leave no residue, they just help me to see, up the dusty end. Fake, usable G&G style case inc. SO; Jazz neck Precision body P/J pups selector switch vol, vol TBX tone Weight a rather light 8lb 6oz (basswood bodies, they all were). http://support.fende...cial_(Japan1987)_manual.pdf You can of course buy the current Duff signature bass, a Mexican version at around £1075 in GAK etc. £450 collected from Wigan (or meet up within 50 miles of Wigan) £475 couriered mainland UK Feedback at bottom of post, any trial in Wigan. Whatever I've forgotten, I'll add later, thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 2. Thanks for the bump Tom it's 44.5mm or 1.75 inch, but they are quite a shallow C profile. For the terminally Guisborough-ish amongst us; go to post #1 open link on line 4 scroll down a touch to the box entitled features open that box On a more serious note, if this doesn't go in the next day or so, I will need to put up my 89 Fender Jazz Special. When one of those sells, I will be done. I've just been scammed for £280 plus a phone call to the States, that will probably cost about that as well. Absolutely nothing to do with Basschat, but my confidence is just so hit that I'm going back to phone/branch visit for financial stuff and just avoiding the internet. Second time I've been conned/robbed, reckon if I'm not on it will make it harder.
 3. Thanks guys. I'm leaving this up for sale due to an expensive computer system repair bill I've just received. Cheers, Karl.
 4. EDIT, SORRY, it's 2004/2005 (we all know about Fender Japan dating!) Apologies to all, I've had my network hacked. 4 hours and $430 dollars later, I'm still not convinced I haven't been conned. But a screen that would not allow anything until Microsoft had been contacted, well, buggered if I know. Excuse my language but I f***ing hate technology Anyway, the 3 that wanted to buy have been informed where they are chronologically, cheers, Karl. SOLD thanks.
 5. Quite light (unusual for Japan) at 8lb 14oz.. These don't come up that often on these shores. Model no PB57-80US Alder body Maple Gold anodised US Vintage pick up 42mm nut, C profile neck. Bad bits; Scratch and slight scuffing on back. Not through to wood, won't photograph. Same applies to a dink above the lower horn. As happens on many "neck off, truss rod adjust" Fenders, the paint is cracked both sides of neck joint. YOU REALLY HAVE TO LOOK HARD to see it though, they are tiny, top surface paint cracks only. There is no case or gig bag HOWEVER, I will provide the crappest Fender hardcase (no handle, beat to Hell, bust plastic, more road kill than road worn) to courier the bass in . Please note, if the Road Worn I have for sale goes before this lovely bass, it will be withdrawn £550 collected from Wigan, will meet up within 50 miles of Wigan at no extra charge, extra £30 UK insured courier. Bass will be properly cleaned before sale. The first photo is a library, not of the actual bass. Any trial in Wigan, your rig or mine. Feedback at bottom of thread. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 7. Did this one sell?
 8. Is it not Candy Tangerine?
 9. This is very obviously the most beautiful bass on the planet
 10. Why does every gorgeous Dingwall that comes up have to be a 5
 11.
Trades?
Sorry, no, this was taken as a part trade, I would like a sale. Hence it's comparatively keen price.

i've played one in PMT Leeds and it was awesome - GLWTS
Thanks gents
 12. Just taken this as a trade, most folk know what these are. Specs (there is a "features" tab) https://www.gak.co.u...red-maple/19353 Light weight at 8lb 8oz.. Bad bits; strings are awful there is no case or gig bag HOWEVER, I will provide the crappest Fender hardcase (no handle, beat to Hell, bust plastic, more road kill than road worn) to courier the bass in . £600 collected from Wigan, will meet up within 50 miles of Wigan at no extra charge, extra £30 UK insured courier. 13. Of no use to you whatsoever, but I love my Streamliner 900
 14. Phil, could you check your "message requests" and "others" messages folders on FB please.
 15. Neither up to your requirements, Mexican and Japanese both with P body and Jazz necks. There's still a reason I gig these rather than American
 16.
Hi Karl, As you know I bought the re-fin......Many thanks for the history. These are great instruments to play and well worth the money. Best of luck with the sale. Regards Robbie

Superb bass, will make someone a very happy teddy
Sold thanks.
 17.
Sorry, no, but Google and YouTube should be worth a try. It's a stock i.e. standard guitar, after all.
What, it doesn't sound like an Alembic Mark King? Meh, I'm out. On a more serious note, Phil me lad, as a world class magpie gear whore (motto oooh shiny buy it) I think it's high time you invested in a £5 set of luggage scales! Letting the side down dontcha know, harumph.
 18. Further pm's replied folks, thanks. Ready for a couple of hours of giving it some last night
 19.
So on Monday evening something interesting popped up on a local for sale page, needed some work and cleaning up to get it back to what would be a very decent condition, and (rather uncharacteristically) I pulled the trigger impulsively (after haggling a price). So for the grand total of £70 and some elbow grease and soldering, I give you this: An Epiphone Thunderbird Limited Edition Metallic Red finish- I'm looking forward to giving it a good punt through my new rig (needs it's own NGD topic!), but its a looker! I'd be interested to know what the resale value would be too, as I can't find much info anywhere, or indeed previous sales!
See what you've done, you've brought the EpiGib out in us all. YOU are responsible for NEW GAS. Muzz, that's a cracker as well.
 20.
Oh well, we'll always have Kidderminster.
Severn deadly sins Sorry to derail Gibson type thread but on similar topic, although same weight as a Ford Escort, serious trouser party............... Back on topic please, as you were
 21.
Quick look on facebook seems to suggest he's a serial con man. He deserves hounding.
He also seems to do a few gigs in his home area.
 22.
I'd be with you IF it had a maple board...
You'll never be with me buster, the restraining order says so
 23. I'm a well renowed tasteless tart, but I think that would look most splendid with ALL gold hardware, plus pups covers, plus scratchplate.
 24. Many thanks folks (including Michael and Ped) you lot have got me gassing now Long story, I've recommended he gets it all fully checked out by a specialist for this lady. I've also recommended avenues of sales when it's all checked out. Here and 3 specialist bass dealers who do commission sales. I'm going to slink out quietly now before I get any more involved. Douglas, 6 string fretless and vintage cab, how very dare you allow such heresy
