  1. Slade for us from next weekend.
  2. I've just received my new B-amp and we're local so bad timing and unlucky for both of us. I'm sure this will sell quickly but GLWTS all the same.😎
  3. Nice video!
  4. Musicman Stingray Classic 4 string for sale. Price: £1,350 including insured UK mainland shipping. I'm not interested in trades thanks. The price includes a Musicman Stingray hard case, a set of Schaller strap locks and a couple of spare pick-guards. It was manufactured in 2010 and has a few minor dings from normal wear and tear but nothing major. Additional pics can be supplied on request. Please PM me if interested.
  5. I've not tried a D800 but I've been using my AE410 with the Aguilar AG700 which I really like, and before that a Markbass MoMark. Both sounded great. I'm awaiting a Bergantino B-amp which should (in theory) be a perfect match due to the cab profiles in the amp.
  6. Congratulations Dan!
  7. I have two of these lights and can confirm they are very good for the money. Unfortunately they seem to be causing mains hum through our guitarist's gear so we've stopped using them. They don't cause any issues with my gear so I suspect it may be linked to his particular amp setup and high gain settings. We haven't had an issue with other makes of LED lighting. Has anyone one else had a similar issue?
  8. Very nice bass, GLWTS! 😎
  9. Thanks @gillento for spotting my schoolboy error. I've corrected it now. 😊 I used to also own the 800w version which is Class D and listed this amp as the same when I placed the ad last night. 😎
  10. Markbass MoMark 500w Class A/B modular amplifier, with extra modules for sale. The price includes rack mount ears and I'll also include a SKB 4u shallow rack case for free. Price: £350 including insured UK mainland shipping. I'm not interested in trades thanks. Please note that the Korg rackmount tuner shown in the pictures is not included in this reduced price (as it ahas been sold separately) I'm based in South Shields, Tyne and Wear if you wish to inspect or try this out. Please PM me if interested. Spec as follows: Momark module amp (serial number FE200014): Power: 500w Class A/B (500w @ 4 ohm, 300w @ 8 ohm) Height: 2 rack units: Front panel: Tube preamp with Mute switch, 4 band equalizer with 2 semi-parametric EQ controls, Master level out, VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator), VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) Rear panel: 2 x Speaker outputs (Speakon / quarter inch jack), Effects loop (parallel), XLR DI out with pre/post EQ switch and ground lift, Tuner out. Extra modules included: TM1 tube pre-amp (Mute switch not working), Blank EQ section.
  11. I’m amazed that this hasn’t been snapped up by someone. I love my AG700 and this is a great price.
  12. Another +1 for David Wilson. Top quality professional and a great guy to deal with.
  13. I’ve used them a few times. So far, good prices and quick delivery. I’ve not had any experience of returning goods or dealing with Customer Services.
  14. I love my Berg AE410 but if it didn’t live in my mates garage and get transported to gigs in a van it would be a pain in the backside. It’s not due to the weight, rather that it’s really difficult to squeeze it into the boot of my car. If we didn’t have use of the van I’d be looking for a two (smaller) cab solution.
  15. Sorry to hear that @Lozz196. Hopefully after a bit of time off you can find another project that allows you to get all the enjoyment of gigging without such a punishing schedule. 😎
  16. My best purchase has been a Broughton Audio High + Low Pass Filter pedal, it’s made a real improvement to my live sound. I haven’t made a bad purchase this year, but there’s still plenty of time for that impulse buy that I’ll regret pretty quickly. 😊
  17. IME a conflict of dates and priorities will happen sooner or later, either naturally despite everyone’s best efforts or will be manufactured by someone. Best to talk it through with the drummer first and see if he is prepared to compromise and explore options together to keep everybody happy when diary clashes do occur. Good luck! 😎
  18. I tend to change mine every 4-5 gigs and use other basses when practising and rehearsing. It’s not that the strings sound dead after that time but I do notice a loss of the brightness and sustain I like from fresh strings. I’m using Ernie Ball Slinky’s.
  19. Thanks @Lozz196, I’ve only just bought my first P bass (Player Series) and like how it sounds but this thread got me wondering if it was worth changing the pickup. You’ve just saved me a few quid. 😎
  20. Can anyone describe the difference in tone between the Fender Custom Shop 62 pickup and the stock pickup in the Fender Player Precision’s please?
  21. This ^ and not helped by the production on their later albums. Not sure I could decide on a ‘best’ album but my personal favourites are: 1. Grace Under Pressure 2. Moving Pictures 3. Power Windows
  22. A Korg DT-2 digital tuner from 1987. I don't use it much but it lives in my gig bag and still works.
  23. I went to buy a sandwich last Thursday lunchtime and ended up unexpectedly buying a Fender Player Precision as well. It’s the 3rd time I’ve gone out for lunch and bought a bass without planning to, all from the same shop. Hopefully this one will be a keeper, unlike the other two, but I really need to find a nice sandwich shop further away from PMT Newcastle in future.
  24. Line 6 G30 for me.
