1. Have a good one buddy , I will listen in when mine is nearer done
 2. I am no expert and probably should investigate this if it is an issue , but all my stuff is on my PC on the same drive
 3. Burt Reynolds , someone stole his cigar as I recall Your good lady has chosen a good one for me (I hope ) I just showed Lurksalittle the pic and she said Nirvana , so a bit if guitarish/ rockish/ grungeish noises might work for me , though I so reserve the right to miss that description by a long way
 4. Well done Paul excellent piece and well deserved win. I have no need to get a winners speech prepared just yet , but as a runner up I would like to thank ...........
 5.
I have the b2.1 but never got it to work properly on windows 7 64. I now have a windows 8 laptop so maybe I should try again
I spent a lot of time trying to make my zoom kit ( b2.1 and the 9.1) work as an interface , it does , BUT , volume levels , playback levels and latency issues made it a real PITA , get the proper kit , it will make the whole process much , much easier and straightforward.
 6.
I only ever have my amp in a straight line from the mains, I find the electrons having to slow down to get round bends or corners in the mains lead affects my tone!
A very important observation , you have to be very careful especially with the likes of extension leads that are coiled up , make sure they are unwound all the way, as otherwise with the cable cores , 1 core will have further to travel around the outside of the loop, and the negative electricity will arrive before the positive electricity (or vice versa) . This will mean that your phase is the wrong way round and your speaker stack will thus act as a giant microphone.
 7. This was our last gig set , it did go on a bit , but we were up for it and so were the crowd , we have a problem dropping songs for the newer stuff , but we try to rotate these and our other songs , but this is pretty much our christmas party . 8. I am sure you can, but the voting has started already , It is just whether Skol is able to add you to the poll on a technical issue IYSWIM
 9. Yes you can edit the title, if you edit the first post and click 'more reply options' the thread title can be accessed. do you have a function to set whether the signal is sent pre or post effects ? sometimes any effects that you use in an effects loop can be bypassed , but even then the sound should still be reasonable . you could try the effects loop out to a desk channel Some effects pedals like Zoom stuff can DI out before the amp , but as Kiwi says if anything is not actually working properly then a process of elimination is the best way forward
 10. We asked our lead guitarist to turn up last night , he did, he only just made it in time for the opening number
 11.
The one I initially saw was unbranded, I was not stating that Limelight are the ones responsible for the counterfeiting ? I was of the impression that they were bista basses and people were applying their own logos ? Surely they are not leaving the workshop branded ? Some suggest they are ?

They used to, but I think Mark very has sensibly decided to leave it up to the buyer.

Private sales of goods using others' trademarked designs are fine in the UK. Trademarks in this country apply to those who manufacture, import or distribute goods by way of business...... So private sellers are good to go.
So , it seems that the buck can be passed after all , it makes sense now
 12.
Not necessarily. He still offers basses with Fender logos as an option, I believe.
would that be officially

They used to, but I think Mark very has sensibly decided to leave it up to the buyer.
This would suggest that Mark either felt it wrong to put the logo on or he was told not to put the logo on , so whether snide, fake or not , it would appear putting a fender logo on a non Fender guitar isn't quite right .
Very poor analogy. That's the equivalent of starting with a Fender and then replacing (say) the BBOT and pickguard, in which case no-pne would argue it shouldn't still have a Fender badge. A better analogy would be building a Caterham or Westfield kit car and sticking a Lotus badge on it.
, the caterham badge is quite a good rip-off of the lotus 7 badge style though
 14. but then every part of a system needs to able to reproduce the given sound to the quality that it was recorded to surely , and the listening pleasure to the vast majority of listeners really doesn't rely on that,, thus giving the listener the added bonus of being able to search and improve their listening skills and technical equipment as and when they wish to delve into their own listening experience.
 15. It might help identify the problem
 16. I dont know about Audacity , but if it is purely a volume issue , try using Reaper , you can open the volume envelope ( a track that is purely a volume tracker) and adjust up and down at the points you need to , it would be a bit of a PITA , but if compression wont sort it and it is worth keeping it might be worth the effort .
 17. A few depressing ones in there , but we can cover and have played loads inc... in no particular order teenage kicks summer of 69 alright now sex on fire sweet home alabama saw her standing there ever fallen in love -buzzcocks look back in anger rockin all over the world dont fear the reaper brightside substitute dakota highway to hell use somebody whiskey in the jar basket case I would have thought loads do these
 18.
You are pushing against an open door with me on this, as it absolutely boils my piss. These wide boys couldn't give a sh*t about the music - it's just a commodity, and it could be watering cans or gerbils for all they care. I know there will be plenty of people that quote 'market forces' and supply and demand being a cornerstone of capitalism, but the simplest way to stop this is to make it pointless from the touts perspective. If you ensure that its not worth it, they'll go off to find something else to do to make an easy buck. You can do that by making it an offence to sell a ticket for more than the face value plus ten pounds. That will allow the profiteering tw**s at the ticket agencies enough latitude to charge their outrageous booking fees, but ensure that the profiteering fu*kers on eBay, and the scallies outside the venues decide its not worth the hassle. That to me is a better use of the local constabularies time than nicking motorists for doing 35 in a 30 limit zone, in the middle of nowhere. And I have to agree - it's absolutely scandalous that exclusive arrangements are in place such that one company controls the sale of tickets for a tour, and a significant amount of these tickets turn up in the hands of specialist premium 'we'll get you in' fee agents, who actually are owned by the agency with the exclusive deal. It stinks.
This is absolutely true , but parting a fool from his money is the capitalist philosophy
 19.
I'm a bit worried about my song about nuns now!
Exploding Mother Superiors rule
 20.
Great being a very minor part of the competition this month - track is sounding great Kev - love the bass tone!
Cheers Mike I think this could be the first real life meatspace collaboration of BCers in this challenge
