  1. I do believe that it is a thing, especially with the singers that I've worked with. Though as it's been said, they're the one's with the cajones to be the "focal point" of the band, so it does kind of take someone with a certain kind of ego to do it (and/or narcissistic tendencies).
  2. Obviously a little bit of everything.
  3. My set up certainly won't set other bass player's hearts-a-flutter, but it works for me.
  4. Latest POD Go Firmware upgrade has been released today, v2.0. 6 new bass cabs, 1x12 Epifani, B15 Ampeg, 2x15 Mesa, 4x10 Eden XLT, 4x10 Ampeg HLF & Ampeg 8x10 AV Heritage. 1 new bass amp, Agua Sledge. No bass specific effects. Will download & upgrade mine tomorrow.
  5. A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers - Van der Graaf Generator
  6. One of the few basses I regret selling, a Thunder 1A. Great score @bartelby, enjoy!
  7. Evil Blizzard - Rotting in the Belly of the Whale
  8. Spirit in the Sky - Dr & the Medics / Norman Greenbaum
  9. If you're not wanting too much from it, other than the stated, then what about the POD Go instead? It's a bit cheaper to start with, doesn't have the parallel processing, but it sounds like you don't need it anyway, and you can even have a few effects if you want too. Nowhere near as complex as the Stomp, but the same amp/cab models, most of the effects models. Highly underrated IMO.
  10. That, and the quality of the amp/cab/effect models, plus the addition of IR's. My HD500x is also long gone, but in favour of the POD Go.
  11. Cool. No video (tnankfully! ), but here's the link to our album... recorded with the Ric (even though annoyingly to my ears it doesn't sound like a Ric). Thousand Mile Stare - Black Hole Heart
