  1. In an ideal world I'd have preferred the valve version, but for £150 I'm not complaining! Will be interesting to see the comparison between this and the Trickfish that was literally 10 times the price!
  2. Arrived...
  3. ACG are one of the best in my humble opinion. All subjective of course, but I've owned a decent cross section of UK built 'boutique' basses and ACG are the ones I've stuck with and currently own 5 of! (4 of them below)
  4. I pressed some buttons in some kind of fugue state and now have one due for delivery on Tuesday... 😬
  5. Tempted... very tempted...
  6. Temping... if I didn't already own 5 Pinegrove straps!
  7. Isn't there a thread about that somewhere... 🤔
  8. Gone for me too. Quick work sirs. 👍
  9. @Kiwi can we get this removed? This is clearly linked to the site and not to individuals - the evidence of all of us having the same issue isn't a coincidence. Personally, I'm coming off the site until its gone - it's invasive and having active 3rd party companies effectively forcing themselves on me is not something I consent to. I look forward to returning when this is gone.
  10. I've got the same. Yesterday there was no super annoying blue shield, now there is. I have DEFINITELY not update anything on my phone overnight. I have auto-updates switched off so surely this must be something linked to this website as I don't get this with any other site.
  11. Hi all, I bought this 2nd hand a while ago, never used it as I got a mapex one with a kit I bought at the same time - it's still boxed up from when it arrived with me! It's unbranded, so not sure who made it, best guess is Gear4Music or Fame. One of the beaters is missing a felt but the other beater has 2 felts (one on either side) so you can take one of that and attach it to the other. £45 collected, £52 posted. Pretty cheap for a perfectly good double kick pedal! Any questions, let me know.

  12. Where abouts are you and is postage an option? Cheers!
  13. I'll just leave this here... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234798952350?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=LqMLc35LREW&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=mojaVkKDRiC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=SMS
  14. @ymdtzx - did you actually see the money in your account? Or did they just show you their app that made it look like they had sent it? The AIB frauds I've read about all suggest that the money doesn't ever go into the victims account, instead they take the word of the fraudsters that it has left their account based on a fake bank app.
  15. Went into PMT Saaaafend today, they had a 'bargain bin' of various items in damaged packaging, old stock etc. The only trouble was, all the prices were exactly the same as their undamaged counter parts!
  16. @Fluid Druid - I'm assuming you joined the site just to try to make contact with @nationofzeros, if so that's really very good of you to have gone out of your way to try to make contact! Restores some faith in humanity! Great work and I'm sure will be hugely appreciated by @nationofzeros as and when you make contact with them. Fantastically honest, the world needs more of the same!
  17. The bassist from Teramaze has a 6 string one of these that he's 'stealthed' with all black hardware and a black scratch plate... @Meypelnek If yours was a 6 string I'd be buying it and doing the same!
  18. "Research shows a 23.2% improvement in Father/Child bonding if the Father owns a 5 string Fuchsia Sparkle MM Bongo" Fact.
  19. I'm in your same position sir! I was debating hanging it above the crib and claiming its a baby mobile!
  20. That is an outrageous colour! Just started an old skool slightly glam rock band, this would be awesome! Definitely no funds for it sadly, but dang, what a colour!
  21. There's a few threads around focusing of companies that do things poorly (and these threads genuinely very useful!) But in the interest of trying to promote 'good news' I thought I'd start a thread where we can mention companies that do things right or that go above and beyond. (If such a thread already exists then I shall gladly take my lashes). So, my first nomination is Pinegrove Leather. Maker of fine Leather items, mostly straps and whatnot. I own a few Pinegrove products, most recently was my purchase of a rather funky bright orange and black 4" padded leather strap that was in their 'special offer' section. After I bought it for an already heavily discounted price due to a few marks on it, Rod (owner) contacted me to say he'd noticed a few additional scuffs that he didn't capture in the photos, he gave me the choice of a refund or a bit more money off. I happily accepted his offer of a bit of off the top and the strap arrived 2 days later. Honestly, if Rod didn't mention the few minor scuffs, I'd not have thought anything of it as it was advertised as having a few minor blemishes anyway. It goes to the honesty and integrity of Rod and his business. Absolutely excellent products made here in the UK, fantastic craftsmanship and top notch customer service too. Definitely worthy of a shout out. What other business are worthy of a 'doing things right' shout out? It'd be good to hear about other such instances!
  22. I'm a natural lefty but made the choice very early on to play righty. It was weird for a month or so, then became absolutely normal. I'm VERY glad I did learn righty as the instruments available on the second hand market for lefties is about 5% of that of the right hand market. Maybe give it a go for a while? If not, then there is a left hand section on Basschat market place, have a look there and see what takes your fancy! Buying second hand is definitely the wise choice, if you end up not liking the bass you can sell it on and break even!
