  1. Hi all, There is a 'rare as hens teeth' bass I simply must own, and in order to do so I need to shift a bit of gear... Up for sale here is a fantastic condition Crafter BA400EQ electro-acoustic bass with a very nice hard case. It works perfectly, has a nice low action and sounds great. It has a solid spruce top and mahogany sides - I'm a huge Crafter fan (I own 12 of them!) as their build quality is dar higher than their price point. These are £449 new, the hard case would have been around £70, so with an asking price of £250 postage, put it as less than half price with free postage! I have another one of these, so can just about live without this one hence the sale! Collection from Wickford, Essex is fine (will knock off a tenner for collection).
  2. @roceci I may have to PM you...
  3. Tempting, but I know myself... I'd mess around with it for a few months then likely end up selling it on!
  4. This'll be gone shortly! I'm in Cardiff on Tuesday as well! Tempting...
  5. Evening all, Has anyone got any experience with Atelier basses? I have the opportunity to pick up an Atelier Z Beta 6/32, from the little I've heard, these are decent beasts hand made in Japan. Has anyone played one/own one? What's the verdict? Ta! Russ.
  6. So thats a no to £12 then? And here I was thinking I was about to own a Fodera!
  7. @seifregno - if you've listed this as £6 to circumnavigate the fees to list an item worth £50 or more, a moderator will likely be along shortly to close the advert. Or, if you are truly only asking £6 as stated in your advert, then I will happily pay you £12. Double your asking price.
  8. Some, IMO, are absolutely not worth the price, Some are, but... you are of course essentially absolutely correct! Some of us are vein and like a fancy top! 😁
  9. Frank very kindly dropped off 8 knobs this afternoon! The man is both a gent and a scholar! Top marks for yet another credit to basschat!
  10. A steal... if you do decide you might want to lob it in the post, let me know! Happy to assume the risk!
  11. Another quality slice of delicious feedback pie for Brian! Bought a defunct MarkBass head, it arrived very well packaged and in very good time! I've dealt with Brian before and I shall likely deal with Brian again! Another credit to the Basschat community. 👍
  12. 🤔
  13. Get out... get out now. And leave your coat, it's the least you could do after that abomination of a pun!
  14. If you are going to play live with a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 neck guitar, you NEED to use all the necks at least once otherwise I believe you automatically classify as a cockweasel. The dude from Coheed and Cambria had a double neck SG in one of their videos, he didn't touch the 12 string neck once, therefore he indeed automatically classifies as a cockweasel. 👍
  15. It's a 'Hutchins'. Probably about the same build quality. SUPER heavy but genuinely not that bad to play!
  16. I did have this monster at one point... Fun, but utterly pointless!
  17. A few B-Stock Richters here.. https://www.richterstraps.com/en/c/products/b-stock?sort=position-asc&page=2
  18. Yup. I have 2. Not bad at all.
  19. Pinegrove are my go-to. Exceptionally good straps.
  20. Another shout for these cabs... I had a WT800 with 2 of these cabs back in the day... it was an epic rig!
  21. I bought a brand new Juki HZL120 for my wife from Amazon US, cost just under £600 including shipping and 'built in' taxes, whereas the UK retail price pretty much everywhere is £975, all it needed was a US/UK adapter (which Amazon covered the cost of!) and we saved £375. Some things are cheaper to bring in from The States for some odd reason...
  22. Met Gaz in a shady Asda car park... We did a deal for his Mesa rig for my trickfish and a separate cash deal for his Purple Chili rig. All in a super smooth deal! Would definitely deal with Gaz again, another credit to BassChat!

  23. I'm debating (very much unsure of going past the 'debate' stage) of renting out my rehearsal space for the occasional weekend band that might want a full 2 days practice or to spend some time writing. I have no idea what a 'fair price' would be for a full weekend session including use of pro gear. (Say 9am - 6pm Sat and Sun). The space is 40sqm and has a tiny kitchenette, a loo and shower, a lounge area, a small gym, an office area with Cubase for recording, full WiFi, a substantial drum kit, plenty of amps, effects pedals, mics and stands, a PA system, and a selection of excellent instruments (ACG, Conklin, Fender, Musicman, Reiver, PRS, etc). Your band could simply rock up and get going, there's nothing I can think you'd need to actually bring. Any thoughts as to whether there'd be a market for any bands to hire such a space, and what do you think would be a fair weekend rate given the equipment that'd be available to use?
