  1. I've not really had a chance to fire it up properly as we've not had a practice since before Xmas, but just from home use it is definitely a formidable rig. The Mesa is concise and clear and all sorts of ferociously loud and the PJB cabs provide a very articulate outlet for all that Mesa power. Can't fault it as yet!
  2. It is, and it will exterminate you.
  3. Happy to join the 'New Year New Rig' gang...
  4. This looks remarkably similar in spec to the Mesa Strategy I just bought. If the sound it produces is anywhere near the same then £650 is a steal for sure!
  5. So I've been after a passive, non powered, volume pedal for a decent price. I paid £25 for a Schaller F-121 volume pedal from the mid/late 1970's. Bit of a punt, though I have been assured it works. Has anyone used/got one of these? Are they decent? Have I bought a lemon, or worse... A lime?
  6. Thomann do decent semi-rigid hard cases that come in a big cardboard box for around £40, that could be an option to assist in safe postage, that way the bass is in a case and in a box, nice and secure!
  7. I'll have you know I could easily beat Hafthor in a amp lift-off! 💪
  8. Sent them a note in case it's some kind of error they're not aware of. Surely it must be!!
  9. That is literally 5 miles from me... to add salt to the wound I could have easily picked it up and met you somewhere with it!
  10. Very nice! Was tempted by the traditional 8x10, but my spine will not permit it. The PJB 12B is about as much as my cripple hook of a spine can take!
  11. Seen these before, they always looked a bit naff to me... the tuning pegs ruin it. There are other makers of miniature guitars that look far better!
  12. You did indeed! I have a cupboard with an infinite number of TRBJP1s in it.
  13. I'd be quite confident in saying 95% of us have gear that FAR exceeds what we actually need. Myself very much included! I like collecting and trying different gear, but I definitely don't 'need' 95% of it! If I stripped down to the minimum I needed to do the job, it'd be two 6 string basses (one as back up) with a circa 200w head and something like a 2x10 cab. But that'll probably never happen!
  14. If you insure the item, you will pay tax relevant to the value you insured it for. Your risk as to the value you place on the item!
  15. As a disclaimer, I'm not sure if the comment on the TV in the first picture is relevant to the sale of the bass!
  16. Besmirch... excellent word.
  17. Trust is important, but does leave you open to being screwed... I have many a time bought/sold/traded long distance. If the seller or tradee has no feedback I can refer to then I will refer them to my feedback both on Basschat and eBay and insist they either pay upfront, or send me their bass first. I know I'm not going to play silly buggers and if I can't verify how genuine someone is then they have to take the first step or the deal won't happen. If they have a fair chunk of reliable feedback, then I'm happy either way. Unfortunately though, with all the best will in the world and all due diligence taken, issue can and will arise! Previous posts from @NordicBard do appear to suggest they work in the Navy, could be a contributing factor to not responding? Hopefully they'll get in touch and it'll all be a misunderstanding, saves them ruining their reputation and no one ever dealing with them again!
  18. Like this: (This is the actual one Andy is selling, used to be mine.)
  19. Withdrawn - too good to sell.
  20. I love these basses... in fact I will go so far as to to say the V1 beats the V2 hands down in my humble opinion. One of the finest 6 string basses you can buy. I only let this go as it was part of a 3 way trade to get my Warwick SC6 Thumb back! I would never have let it go otherwise... if I had the cash, I'd have it back in a flash. Looks phenomenal too.
  21. Interested in the pedal bay and carry bag, would you sell separately? Unfortunately I have no use or interest in the pedals themselves!
  22. Sounds a bit naff as its through a phone, but the Mesa does sound lovely, the fan isn't too bad either. The gain is almost entirely down too as I dont want to deafen the neighbours! A little delay and reverb with my ACG through the Mesa... Mesa Tap..m4a
  23. 22kg or thereabouts. But given the PJB 12B weights a damn site more and I have to lug that in/out the boot, I'm sure I'll survive! Still miffed that Mesa don't give you the correct footswitch with their amps!
  24. Great cabs these! However it takes 1001 apologies for a mod to move your ad to the right section.
