1. Hey gang. Just pondering the G&L SB-2.... Are there many owners out there? I'm wondering about:

The lack of a tone knob
What the neck profiles are like
How heavy (or light) are they?
US vs. Tribute.. is there much in it?
How P does the P pickup get when solo'd?
...etc. Thanks in advance.
2.
I omitted something quite important in my review, and this is to confirm what others have said about the construction quality of TKS cabs - top notch in every respect.
Have you posted pics in here yet? If not, it doesn't exist :-)
3. I've just spotted that Tommy has added a page to his website that explains the effort he even puts in to the grille cloth. Along with the greatness of the cabs, it's that kind of attention to detail that should make others sit up and take notice, IMO.
4. Sounds like a great result! Is this the 'old' taller 115? If it is, FWIW, my experience with it was pretty much the same. In a small room, it sounded just... OK. But at the gig, with room to breathe, it's a different thing entirely. It opens right up, the mids shine, the lows are so supportive, and I never felt like I needed to turn it up particularly loud. Even with my Walkabout putting about 180w into 8ohm, it was solid and authoritative.
5. You spelled it wrong. It's 'Toni'.
6. Here's mine...
7. Have we done what happens if you play the backing track back at the wrong sample rate yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjx_GjyXCs4
8.
It's shoreline.
It's lush. He's nailed these.. the relic'ing is so good.
9.
Well if you don't want an early 60s blonde/tort/rosewood, how about a 70s aged olympic white/black pg/one-piece maple neck..?
The latter is something I'd love to do. I just need to see a few more clear shots of the maple boards. A lot of them I've seen have heavy relic'ing which isn't to my taste...
10. OK... to help me decide... Would those of you with maple-board Limelight P's mind posting pics that clearly show the board, preferably in daylight? One of my dilemmas is the old maple / rosewood thing. I think I prefer the look of Limelight's rosewood, but I'm not sure...
11. ...and as if by magic :-) Holy crap - that's a beaut. Is it firemist? Someone put me out of my misery and tell me what colour combo to get so I can put the order in. PLEASE.
12. Meh, not really my thing... ...so I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. 10/10 for the production / mix, too. Lovely.
13.
I tried to watch it but gave up after 10 minutes. The whole thing was so blatantly fake that it made my toes curl. It's hard to be undercover when you're not only trailed by a very obvious camera crew but also the people you interact with have to repeat (scripted?) comments for the sake of the cutaways. Unreality TV at its most insincere.
Yeah. Sorry for going OT, but I only managed a minute or so before I had to skip to the end. Shows like this are the equivalent of being force-fed sugary water. Bleargh. Just give me the facts and I'll make up my own mind how to interpret 'em without prompting from the background music.
14. New camera = new pics :-)
15. Maybe you heard that high-pitched whine they produce, whilst inaudible to most humans, makes eagles ill..?
16. Tone **is** all in the fingers. And the strings. And the pickups. And the bass. And the amp. And the EQ. And the mix.
17. Calling those of you with 60s Limelight P's..... How are the neck profiles? Are they shallow front-to-back, or do they have a bit of 'chunk' about them?
18. We've got two small kids too, but I don't have any problems, 'cos Mrs. WoT is a musician too. And besides, she can't wait to get me out of the house of an evening.
19. This looks like it's going to be an an interesting show... Nice blonde P with matching headstock...!
20. Yup. Apple is great for people who just want to do stuff. Android etc. is great for people who want to do stuff with the thing they use to do stuff. :-)
21.
Up until the iPhone 6 at least, it was the Steve Jobs legacy that meant small screen sizes. Even once they fixed the screen size, that still leaves the issue of not being able to install a decent web browser, as the only alternative to Apple's Safari have to use a crippled version of the same rendering engine to be able to get into the App Store. That means no advert blocker.
I really don't want to get drawn into the whole Apple vs everyone else thing, but... The browser I'm using right now has a myriad of features, one of which is an ad blocker which works just fine.
22.
This is how it'd have to look like, IMO:
Yup. That or this: ...albeit with a TV logo.
