  1. Sorry to derail but I read the title to the tune of Sgt Peppers
  2. I agree with putting the 4 away. I exclusively play 5s, did a song at a mates gig on a song I have not played for years on his 4. Let muscle memory take over and found I was playing on the wrong string. Welcome to the dark side.
  3. I have been both and find the best in worst quite challenging when nothing changes, particularly when you were the worst in best and have hauled your butt up to make the grade.
  4. 1. Turn up in good time, you don't want to rush. 2.Set your kit up before less important tasks such as PA. You don't want the preassure of everyone waiting for you because you have been helping others. 3. Spare leads, batteries and bass if you can. 4. Start with a song you love and are confident with, it all gets easier from there. 5. Enjoy, you have earned this Good luck
  5. The Smiths came to my mind first, followed by Biffy Clyro. A bit unfair but they keep headlining festivals I love and I don't understand why!!!!!
  6. As best you can put everything in a box (or case or whatever) and have a box for everything. That way you can limit the amazing expanding kit that always happens ager the show. If you are anal you can label what goes in each box
  7. Lol, it is allegedly 1500w but I have not used in anger yet. It does have bass amp models in there and with the phone app you can load in different presets for different venues / needs / whatever and with a decent DI out it should do the job.
  8. I have just purchased said amp as a guitar amp, which it is brilliant. Is anyone using one of these as a bass amp and if so how does it cope live. It is very heavy and don't want to lug it to a gig without knowing it will cope??? Ta Mike
  9. I have mine, I thought the build quality is fine but have yet to use it in anger. Just nice to have the separation and I am quite surprised to find out how many xlr leads I have!!!
  10. I have one of these and they do over heat if you push them very hard. The sound is amazing and I was pushing it very hard for very long.
  11. Bizarrely No Good has just gone into our set. Great tune, used in an Advert somewhere.
  12. Thanks Boom, I have ordered one, will be glad to not have to untangle as much spaghetti to only find it is the wrong lead. I must buy some more cable ties ;-)
  13. He'll be suing queen next for doing bohemian rhapsody in tune. Twit.
  14. I must admit it looks of questionable quality but at that price, not too much of an issue.
  15. John P that is exactly what I am looking for. Brilliant. My strategy will be from left to right. Jack to Jack, Xlr to Xlr, Kettle, Every other kind of lead then hardware and the last slot for some marmalade sandwhiches. Many thanks I had searched under many different titles and not got this.
  16. Has anyone found a good bag or box that they can separate their leads with. I am sick and tired of trawling through a million black cables just to find the wrong one ;-) Many thanks Mie
  17. I have the model down from this and it is a brilliant guitar. I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER GUITAR... or do I?
  18. Its a song by song thing for me. Get the simple bit right and then see if more enhances or takes away from the song.
  19. Would have ripped your arm off if it had five strings ;-)
  20. Chic should have headlined in my opinion. Whilst Ed was brilliant. chic are Chic.
  21. Indeed, whilst competent it was quite forgettable. whilst not a Foos fan they were fantastic and the people there will remember that performance forever. Ed should have at least got some guest performers out.
  22. I always take two as I have had some issues with cheap basses and the thought of a joint going at the start of a gig and not having a back up scares the pants our of me. I would have to sing the bass lines.!!! No one wins on that one???
