Hi Gang I have an Mackie SRM350 with a blue flashing LED light on the front, which means something isn't right. I am in Chichester but travel a bit, can anyone recommend somewhere to get this fixed that won't cost my first born child? Ta
I agree, and learn the lesson, as soon as you are approached and agree a fee, remind them to ensure you don't have to bother them on their big day, it is payment xxx days / weeks in advance.
I normally type the song name then "bass cover" into youtube and pretty much something will come up as a good starter for 10. Often they are wrong, but normally right enough for position to get going.
There has been quite a lot of hate for Janes addication, however, I suppose it is because they are not "metal", I caught the start and tail end of their set and thought it sounded great.
For a festival of this size there should be someone wandering in the crowd offering the engineer an opinion, as he may be in a "sweet" spot where his mix is great. Some bands got it right so it was definitely possible. And the drums were so loud so not a question of volume. The sound guy could be a drummer or guitarist and doesn't actually listen for the groove of a mix.
Once again drums massively up in the mix then guitars and mostly no bass, can't believe bands like Killswitch Engage and Iron Maiden still allow mixes like this. It really kills the groove of the song. Weather was aweful. Had a great time. There should be an app for analysing a mix and proposing where the sound engineer is missing.
I do wonder if his voice can sustain that level of abuse. It is in his range but it sounds like he is pushing it. I must admit it is much better than I expected.
Indeed, don't underestimate my complete lack of understanding of technology. Can anyone recommend a decent Bluetooth receiver that will work minimalist with this? Ta
Wow, all great response. The clincher for me would be whether you can play tracks wirelessly over the wifi from your device? Anyone know if you can? I can't justify the spend either but when has that ever stopped us ;-)
