1. The other option could be to learn the song and then retune your bass to what ever key they are playing in. Make sure you have a chat with the band before hand and see what key they are in. We play everything generally a semi tone down, aprt from a couple of slipknot numbers / stone sour that are in the same key as going lower would be crazy/ Cheers Mike

5. I bought the berlin from Monz. Love the sound (and weight) But would like the highs to travel a bit better so really want some 10s. Anyone any suggestions that will look good?
6. Hi Guys Can anyone tell me if a Mark Bass 2 x 10 traveller will stack nicely with a Jeff Berlin combo. I assume the combo would have to go on its side? Also should I go for a 4 ohm or 8 ohm? Thanks in advance Mike
7. Excellent communication and item at least as good if not better than described. Many thanks and I would more than happily purchase from Glyn again. Cheers Mike
8.
I had to carry my rack up 3 flights of stairs the other day in Bolton took 4 people
Many thanks for the sale. Have been on holiday since purchase and fighting fires of one sort or another. Combo is as good as new and I will be testing it at a gig on Frdiay and can't wait. Excellent communication from Monz and a pleasure to do business with Many thanks Mike
9. I have maxed out my budget at £550, however, if you can motivate the seller to drop the price for both items I am more than happy for you to keep any savings. Cheers Mike
10. tremblap, I will go 50/50 with you. I get the combo you get the cab. Let me know if your interested ;-) Cash waiting.
11.
cancelled on the 24th! rumour has it the place may be going. although we have been double booked there before. not too sure what the real story is, and are waiting to find out. we're at the Marina fountain in St leonards ( just along the coast) on Saturday, if you fancy popping along?
We had a bit of a falling out with the Landlady at the Marina Fountain. Nothing major, just our band was not compatible with her. We were a bit too nu metal for her classic rock tastes ;-) I hope it goes well for you. If you can get down on the 4th Mayday say hi and we can chat all things bass ;-) Cheers Mike
12.
Shameful behaviour dude
How did your gig go on the 25th?
13. Still got a £600 offer with cash in my wallet ;-) Where are you based? I am travelling up to Brum tonight and back tomorrow from the South Coast?
14. If you want a few low tuned tracks / bands try Slipknot tune to A / A# recommended tracks Duality /Psychosoical Stone sour to B recommended tracks 30 30 150 / Scars Korn B recommended tracks Freak on a leash / ADIDAS Drowning pool to B recommended track Bodies My band plays all of these and I tend just to retune the B string. It does mess with the mind when the strings aren't in the normal set up because of this, but we get through ;-) Ta Mike
15. This was a great gig. The moshing was very hard and did have a few people fall into the band area and knock equipment over, but we survived it. We were very well recieved and there was no way they were going to let us end with 500 Miles by the proclaimers so they got Davidian by Machine Head in stead!!!!! Next gig - The White Horse in Bognor Regis Cheers Mike
16. We do have a choice of encore songs in the bag. Depending on the punters and how up for it they are, we choose either 500 Miles by the Proclaimers or Davidian by Machine Head. You would be surprised how much metallers enjoy bopping around to bad 80s scottish jock pop ;-) Make sure you and your mates are there and you can decide ;-) We play Portsmouth quite a lot so come and see us when we are next in town on 8 May at the Admiral Drake. Was that another plug, how did that bad boy slip in there?????
17. I don't mind looking at it wherever it comes from ;-)
18. Wow, was hoping for more than 60, still at least we won't get our hopes up too high. This is our setlist. I hope it goes down well ;-) Thanks Mike SAD BUT TRUE / BELL TOLLS 4.00 BEAT IT 4.00 LAND OF CONFUSION 4.00 LAST RESORT 4.00 SO LONG 4.00 NO-ONE KNOWS 4.00 FROM OUT OF NOWHERE 3.00 Keyboard CARS 4.00 Keyboard CLEANSE 4.00 Barrel HEAD LIKE A WHOLE 4.00 3030150 4.00 IN THE END 4.00 Keyboard = 47 Mins ZOMBIE 4.00 WEEPING SORE 4.00 LOOKING GLASS 4.00 INFESTATION 4.00 BODIES 4.00 DUALITY 4.00 Barrel CHOP SUEY 4.00 BREAK STUFF 4.00 PHYSCOSOCIAL 4.00 FREAK ON A LEASH 4.00
19. Hi Gang (Edited from my first post) My band played this place a few weeks ago and they liked us so much they asked us to headline their festival to 20,000 bikers on Mayday. If any of you can make it down, please pop over and say hi. Thanks Mike
20. I would love to have this but is way above my £500 budget. If you ever get desparate and are willing to take around £600 let me know as I could sell one of my kids to raise an extra £100. Good luck with the sale, I am sure it will go to a worthy home ;-) Cheers Mike
21.
Probably Well it was different (and sadly quiet) but we got paid & he wants us back so its a start. Onwards & upwards to the Red Lion Stubbington this week Oh and as for sadly I couldn't tell you as they weren't out last night in any strength, well at all actually
How bizarre, ours at Cheers was busy but no where near as busy as we normally have it???? Must be the credit crunch ;-) I see you guys are down Cheers soon, I will try and pop down and say hi if there are no clashes. Cheers Mike
