  1. Why can't you buy them anymore?
  2. I use the 300w version in church it it's really meaty and reliable, I paid £330 for mine last year so this is a giveaway.
  3. That's lovely Jim, maple board mmmmm.....
  4. Looks evil Jose
  5. I play in a church band, I'm told I'll reap my reward in the land of glory
  6. I've been shuffling along without guidance for about 2 years now, I played 12 string guitar for 45 years before that and then our bass player moved away so it was me or my wife. Right me it is then luv I learned where the notes are on the fretboard and practised running from one to the other in a kind of 'I walk the line' way and progressed a little from there making sure I used most of the neck in the process. Being a church group there isn't anything too taxing. I do have a little trouble not looking at the neck while playing and missing the odd note, I can't look at my music at the same time. It's only very occassionally though. I need help really, can't and don't want to read music at my age but I have a very good ear.
  7. That's blue, looks nice tho'
  8. Thanks guys. I have a very bad lower back, Sciatica on both sides, (that's a real bitch), a failed knee operation that no-one seems to know how to fix, I have Crohns Disease, I'm type one Diabetic and I've had a triple heart bypass. I don't feel too bad considering all that's wrong with me there are people a lot worse off than me. I have a loving family and want for nothing.
  9. Pm's replied to.
  10. Thanks Burrito, just getting old(er), happens to us all. elf & safety Martin?
  11. Up for sale is my 1985 Fender Jazz '75 reissue, made in Japan. Stunning condition for 26 years old! The tuning pegs are tarnished with age but they seem to work well. VERY deep powerful pickups that can rattle our windows, pots are very slightly scratchy but you can cure this with a spray of Servisol switch cleaner. Truly wonderful to behold and I'm only selling to buy a new G&L. There is a mark or slight scratch next to the bridge, you can see it in the pics. I'm looking for £550 + carriage for this and it's worth it. Thanks for looking.
  12. I love my 57 reissue, I'm happy with one volume and one tone, nice and simple like me. Neck size is fine but so is a Jazz or my G&L's. Just play the bloody thing
  13. Cheers Martin
  14. Works fine for me, but a church isn't a working mens club exactly.
  15. Cheers Tom, I have trace gear but it never moves from where it lives in the church
  16. I can't remember which thread it was now but someone put a pic up of their new bass and everyone oohed and aahed at it. It was a gorgeous bass but I pointed out that the strings ran off on the neck. The bridge on that was mis-aligned.
  17. Cheers Manos, if you ever come over let me know. Thanks for being a brilliant guy to deal with! Thanks to everyone else too.
  18. 'You need this in your life' type bump.
