1. I'm pretty sure the adjustable poles are there to make the pickup "follow" the fingerboard radius. It's something you can't do simply tilting the pickup.
2. If you need specs of the 1153T from Trace, let me know. I have two.
3. It's an SWR BigFoot I bought empty and loaded with Fanes. Sounds amazing.
4. Hello! Well, I'm a bit ignorant about the brand but feel free to send me a PM when you have time.
5. I think the models without the thumb recess and full access to the end of the neck are a big fail. Truth is: the look is cool but not all the builders do it right.
6. £1500? I'm considering the idea of leaving the country for a few months early next year and I'd be happier to know this beast in the hands of somebody who uses it instead of being stuck in my room. I know it's not cheap but it's waaaaaaaay cheaper than new for a brand new item, absolutely mint and still sporting the hangtag.
7. Sold thru ebay.
8. If you guys have questions or offers please feel free to send me a PM... the amp is always there, always in the same conditions... I only changed the cab it lies on (2x12" instead of 1x15") but again, I only turn it on weekly to avoid oxidation of contacts.
9. New (without the rack ears) can be found for £349 on ebay so it was a good price £250 including everything.
10. I owned a Thumb 5 (2006) with Ebony fingerboard (fretted). It wasn't a custom shop, though.
11. One of the best Markbass amps around for sure! Probably closer in sound to an EBS to my ears. Have a bump!
12. Hello! Due to having too many amps I decided to make a "feeler" to see if there's interest for this amp. Trace Elliot GP12X, nice model with adjustable crossover, graphic eq. and all the goodies old Trace amps are known for. Rack ears aren't original (aluminum). Peavey IPR1600, lightest 500x2 at 4ohm power amp. Both into a light ABS case (bought new). This rig allows to biamp or use 2 to 4 cabs. It should also be 2ohm stable but you better check the manual. The whole flight is probably 6kg or so, a one hand lift. I'm after £350, can ship anywhere.
13. I owned one... well, two (SVT II and SVT II Pro). The Pro came into a cheap plastic flight case and it felt just finnicky. If you go for ABS flight don't buy a cheap one as they bend under the weight of the amp. The Warwick RackBag have a solid plywood frame but they're as heavy as the original Ampeg case.
14. The Barefaced line now is pretty wide, plenty of good stuff even for "vintage" oriented guys. I'm only a bit sad 'cause they discontinued the Big One with the 15"
15. Bump. HD pictures and/or video clips on request.
16. Bargain! I sold mine cheap for €250 and the buyer was super-happy. LOL if wasn't so big and heavy I'd buy it again!
17. In case of troubles you must contact the local Markbass dealer, not the dealer you got it from... did you read the warranty conditions? Anyway, I just don't like turning a sale ad into a discussion. If anybody has questions please send me a message, thanks.
18. GHS bright flats are really bright... I'd definitely consider them. Pretty strong tension even on 30".
19. Sold thru ebay.
20. Well, I guess it's technically "new old stock"? Anyway the warranty is still blank and can be filled by the owner for the full 2 (or 3?) years of coverage. As I said, it's never been plugged in and was sealed until I opened the box to take the picture. I have a store-manager friend who offered me a discount on a lot of Markbass items and bought them for myself and for friends. But I definitely got too much stuff LOL and still trying to make up my mind about what I should keep and what I should sell.
21. Sparky Mark: sorry for the delay... I'm in Italy, the amps have full warranty as it doesn't start from the production date but from the SALE date. So full warranty. I have no problem opening the package... check the picture in the original post.
22.
Where are you? If it's never been plugged in how do you know if it works?
It's a NEW amp. If it doesn't work I'll send money back to have it replaced by the factory. As I said, I'm willing to open, take pictures and test it IF there's some SERIOUSLY interested member. But wouldn't be nice to open the factory seal for a time waster, I'm sure you guys understand this. Markbass takes care of testing on every unit, though. And there's warranty card into the package... what are we talking about?
23. Sold.
24. The 1153T is a great cab... actually incredible if you consider it's a 1way cab. Goes up, goes loud and doesn't weigh too much. Good luck with the sale!
