1.
I appreciate you want to cover costs. As a sale is being discussed I'll say no more
Thankyou. Gentlemanly conduct is rare online these days
 2. This is my black T40
£650 is a helluva high price. Further down the page a fella's asking £450 for his maple board T40. 2 months now,not one offer.
Yep, it is a high price but this...
Oh God, it's black and rosewood with blades... Finally one comes along and I don't have the cash!
...is the reason why. Finding this colour and neck combo is the T40 equivalent of finding a 60s Jazz Bass in, say, lake placid blue as opposed to the ten-a-penny sunburst ones - but instead of it quadrupling the price, it's just a couple of hundred more. 650 it what it owes me from when I imported it. And as per the ad, I don't NEED to sell it so I can afford to be stubborn.
 3. Selling my Ampeg SVT CL as I've blown money on other things and need to redress the balance! In great condition, all original. Vietnamese made (but we've all established that makes little difference). A couple of small marks here or there but nothing detracting. Classic Ampeg valve sound. Collection from Farnborough, Hampshire (J4 M3) or can courier if you're insane. Cash on collection. Will accept partial trades for Crown XLS power amps, SVT Pro's, Portaflex, Peavey, old GK, Traynor or Acoustic heads. Have been after an SVT410HLF too (busted speakers not an issue). 4.
Mmm, Rosewood board - bit rare over here. Blade pick-ups - bit more punch! As stated, the phase switches are easy to get hold of. Not a lot of people know this (said in the voice of Michael Caine) with the bridge pick-up selected on single coil 8 - 10 on the tone, the phase switch operates as a coil selector. At the In Phase position, it selects the coild near to the bridge - in the other position, it selects the coil nearest to the neck, which gives a really nice tone. So, for a few quid, I would put it back, if you bought it. Cheers.
Correct. That is actually my favourite setting. And bump!
 5.
Boom! Proper, sound sweet with a big ol'valve head driving it. I'd need a roadie to shove that around for me now though. My hernia repairs started aching by just looking at it! GLWTS.
Sounds equally delicious with my OR120 and my SVT
 6.
There's somebody looking for one of these in the "Wanted" section at the moment: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/282187-peavey-t-40/
Nice one, I've let him know
 7. Nice USA vintage bass here. It's got a couple if issues: The phase switch was dead when I got it so I removed it (it was useless anyway, no one uses that pos) and the pickup selector switch is also non original. You can get replacements on eBay though. The neck pickup surround is a little broken but nothing worth worrying about. Also, There is a hairline split in the back of the neck that looks very old. I have had a luthier check it and he says it's nothing to worry about. Sounds worse than it is. Doesn't bother me as the neck is sturdy as **** anyway. That all said I'd like to see £375 as-is. The rosewood fretboards are pretty rare over here so the price is a touch higher than normal. If it had been maple it'd probably be 40-50 quid less. I'll also throw in an unused tort guard for an extra tenner if you want it. Will ship at cost. Or collection from Farnborough, Hampshire. No rush to sell.
 8. I just found one on eBay that sold for over £400 so I'll keep this as priced.
 9.
Now THAT'S a cab!

+1 Always loved the look of Acoustic gear - wouldn't mind playing through some too! Sadly, I'd never be able to fit one of these in my car.... Anyway, GLWTS
Thanks guys. Wasn't too sure of the price...seem about right?
 10. I have a vintage Acoustic 406 2x15 cab. Comes with cover. Good overall condition. Unneeded so making space. Collection only from Farnborough, Hampshire. A few marks and bumps from obvious usage over it's lifespan but nothing that affects functionality. 1 non-original driver, an Eminence MA15-200B which appears to be the recommended OEM replacement, and is also the old code for an Emminence Delta (all according to Google) Original driver looks great. Would consider full or partial trades for interesting amps (guitar or bass), Ampeg cabs, unusual old basses/guitars, decent microphones, etc..try me
