    Just received my amp... exactly as described, well packed and sounds great. Very smooth transaction, absolutely recommended.

    On those amps the DI probably goes thru the transformer? Anyway, I think the ABM 500 is already very "boomy" and "wooly", no idea about how that preamp would work with a tube power stage. I have the 427 myself but it's got a Bassman-style tube preamp. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it. The power stage makes a big difference, though. Expecially on dynamics. You dig into the strings, the amp gives it back - more than on SS amps.

    Still here. I know it's a bit scary but I can assure it makes every other amp wimpy and cheap.

    I had the same cab, years ago. Very nice, loud and focused (as you'd expect from EBS!).

    I think that as long as it's lined (or has at least a few dots here and there) you'd be fine.

    Hello! Yeah, active preamp but it's the quietest one I've seen. The weight should be 19kg or so.

    Hello! Yeah, still trying to get rid of most of my "collection" but I always end up buying instead of selling... This is a rare animal, a 70s SC 120R, model with spring reverb. L, B and R are the same amp (maybe there are a few different capacitors in the preamp, that's it) but the R is the rarest of the bunch. I had it completely sorted by my tech, new power stage tubes, new reverb spring etc. - works perfectly and is uber-loud. Sounds wonderful with both bass and guitar, 4/8/16ohm and 110/240 so you can use it everywhere. I didn't spend much time cleaning the tolex but it's in good conditions, only need a scrub to get black again. I'm after £550 plus shipping... I'm in Italy. Sales are preferred as I really have too much stuff unused in my garage.

    Wow... this is a terrific price, this amp sells new for €3000 (the 400w) and €2500 (the 300w).

    It works with 4 and 8ohm and it as wide as a normal rack unit without the rack ears... so pretty compact. It's also pretty shallow in depth, maybe 30-35cm? It could be easily rack-mounted making two aluminum rack ears, if needed.

    Yeah, I'm keeping it in my rack with my Peavey IPR and they sound very nice together.

    Update: I've found the top of the volume knob so it's now in place.
