1. I still have a BBT500H as a spare:) I now have an Omni 10 and a LMII as my main rig. Peter

3. Isn't it just the bleedin' way Seconds before your thread I ordered one! I think that your filed slots will work fine with a whole host of string sizes and will save someone the job.
4. I think it may be the old 'Yamaha stigma' syndrome. Silly money, £120 collected
5. A really nice job, great colour. Peter
6. I have a very nice ESP neck-thru Guitar that my daughter's taken posession of. If you like it, it's not too heavy and you're not concerned about resale value I'd go for it and if it does what you want it to ignore all the 'a 1973 P bass is loads better' comments. Peter
7. Hiya James and welcome in
8. Thanks Mark, that is one very intersting post Peter
9. What site are you looking at BF? Peter
10. I thought that Erle Korpus was in fact a german bassist but I'm not so sure now. The bass is an Erle Korpus Ltd Edition. Anyone speak German? The term 'Erle Korpus' comes up time and time again in relation to guitars and basses when googling. Korpus = Corpse?
11. Yes, to clarify, so far as I know it's the Badass (II ?) and the Gotoh 201 that are direct replacements having the fender 5 hole fitting and corresponding saddle placement . Just about everything else needs further work.
12. Weekend Bump, offers anyone?
13. Allparts http://www.allparts.uk.com/gotoh-bass-brid....html?p=product Peter
14. That 2nd bridge looks interesting but not a Hipshot methinks with only Fender friendly 3 holes? I think it's going to be a Gotoh again. Thanks Peter
15. I'm not certain that this is in the right section but hey. I've got a Badass II on my Flea and it's been filed and does a perfectly good job. I fitted a Gotoh 201 onto my Warmoth and whereas they don't seem to have grabbed the imagination off the bass public so much it seems to be as good as the Badass if not better. I'm thinking of getting another Gotoh for my Jazz 'u'like unless anyone can persuade me a Badass (or any other bridge) is significantly better. Peter
16.
lane poor pup?
Haven't been made for a while. Sod the apologies to Marcus cause it's mine, all mine - cackles into the distance Peter
17. I've got an immaculate gloss black Erle Korpus Epi T'bird Limited Edition for sale if anyone happens to be interested. White was so last year! The Goth is matt black btw. It's had the neck dive sorted too.
18. Another Bump, there's been zilcho interest so far Make me an offer, not too silly though.
19. Another Bump because.... I can and both these basses deserve it. I can't believe there's been no interest at all, zilch. The Thunderbird not appealing to those rockers out there? Peter
20. Yep Strobostomps are the business for intonation.
21. I wouldn't care if it was bloody Lena Zavaroni Alan you enjoyed yourself and that's what it's about You don't know how envious I am that you are in a regular gigging band where you hone your skills and perform regularly. I went to Jam night last night and ended up stopping the 1st song in front of a packed Dickie Doodles because the guitarist was playing Red House in a different key (he didn't know what key!) and I missed the bleedin' intro. Then we discovered that I knew none of the songs he knew and reverted to a 12 bar bloody mixolydiam jam! Oh for a chance to hone some numbers without a packed house in front of you and with some actual communication Look forward to your Elvis tour, tongue in cheek but actually some great songs. Peter
22. Theoretically perfect intonation is impossible. Evidently. A perfect neck is set to intonate according to the natural harmonics, trouble is along came someone clever and chose equal temperment as the way ahead for Western music. So there will always be a slight difference that can't be adjusted out. Evidently
23. An April Fools Bump The T'bird is as new, shiny black with quality strap and no neck dive for £185, a steal by anybodies standard. Les Evans basses are well kept secrets but this is a mega bass. £425 a real bargain. Visits to try very welcome, kettle on and beautiful scenery. Peter
