  1. Just seen these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284274593800? Think i'll go these at the bottom... also offer some fair protection! and a basschat washer on the horn!.. That way the strap can be undone if need be simply at one end...
  2. First try?... Adagio Nickel or Olympia Stainless... £15ish Offer via the 'bay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332636490116 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332486029353 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302719180784

    NPGD!!

Bright!.. Maybe more of a Jazz Thing?... What a coincidence.. about 5 hours ago mine went black... AliExpress £5
  5. Update: Squier P has been moaning that the Ibby's have been getting nice pickups and the like, and copt the hump... Little did it know that a BWB Scratchplate was winging its way from the Far East curtesy of Ali Express for £Fiver... Call it an early Christmas Pressie... and rather fine it looks too, way better than the single ply white
  6. Fingers crossed he gets accepted for the School's 6th form and Courses... 'prolly wait and see if he can take some kind of grade exams along with the Music students and whatever board the use.
  7. Nice... love the knot by the forearm contour... and dark go-faster stripe. So character in that there body. No plate holes, so a custom swoosh plate for pickup n controls... more wood! Bargain, But I'd get told off...
  8. No, Doesn't need the cert for the course... just looking to substantiate his efforts... Looks like they are legit.
  9. @JohnDaBass Still work in progress to get it going. It look real tatty in the Faceache pics, so was considering taking the carpet of and Danish Oil... but, It's not all ply, top ledge baffle etc are a chip type board... and the carpet came up pretty good.
  10. Son is looking at 6th Form Options and has found something right up his straßa!.. A Level Music Technology, and a BTEC Extended Certificate in Creative Digital Media Production He didn't take GCSE Music as it clashed with Computers, and he wasn't that in to it all back when options were chosen, plus he wasn't having instrument lessons. Looking at the Performance Level 2 (Grade 5) assessment to gain some sort of acknowledgment for his Self-Aware / Self-Taught playing of Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Drums receive some sort of 'measure' of his aptitude and application. https://www.abrsm.org/en-gb/performance-grades/about-performance-grades So, at £60 a Pop(!)... worthwhile, or is it like buying some kind of Guild Inclusion for the Van Door Sticker? Thoughts and recommendation please.
  11. I likes these with the spring to help hold the pickup in the cover with a little more tension. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mM5BktA
  12. I went 0.1 as the 0.3 i think was too thick to make sure it would conform to the neck... and was quite stiff. I'll adjust the truss for flat... String tension and thinner shim should be ok-ish for relief... if i get it set up before the no-more-nails sets!
  13. Dislocated left shoulder, rotator cuff damage... Broken left wrist.... (Darn' Scooter!...) Broken Tib 'n Fib at left ankle... Can't tap my foot in time, nothing to do with the injury mind ;-)... (Darn' Dogs...) Beer Belly... (Pin't and an All Day Brunch...Darn' 'Spoons...) Broken Heart...

  15. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1024870482061340/ Cheapy 'Upside Down' P for the winter eves... looks like it's already wearing flats... bit of detol 😉 Set-up and a Tonerider project? Cheeky custom decal... Trouble 'em at £40?..
  16. Yep Split P... but not necessarily a Fender Split P. My post is just an excuse to show off my most wonderful Ibby SR300 Tonerider again... and not to miss an opertunity to 'shout-out' to @Andyjr1515 for the body mods.
  17. Vanish Carpet Cleaner and a washing up brush... Looked like something had been nesting... took out the wadding along with a plastic spoon, Ikea type pencil and a Minions toy - possibly McD's Happy Meal.
  18. Thanks all... think the 0.3mm is a bit thick to work... so ordered some 0.1mm... just to make sure it conforms to the fretboard... I'll post progress...
  19. Cabinet and Carpet to tackle tomorrow... So its a Glue, Brush, and a go over with one of them jumper bobble thingies... get a couple of the plastic corner jobbies ordered... who know's why SWR diddn't fit em to the front-est top corners. Then track down a mains lead, and check the Blah! Blah! in the Buildings and Home Contents Insurance documentation...
  20. Amp out, control board out for a pot squirt and jack socket doings with a cotton bud, WD40 squirt 'n wipe of the front panel and surrounding areas... came up alright...
  21. Not allowed anymore guitars... So a little (or not so little...) combo project couple of days shouldn't get me in toooo much trouble! Spotted this Washing Machine... that's what the Mrs thought she was getting... on Faceache... Close and Cheap and fell for the '#7 advert excuse of' Haven't got a mains lead so cannot test... IBS... Integrated Bass System or Irritable Bowl Syndrome? What are they like and what should I expect for my £20?.. other than Furk-All or a Shower of Sparks!.. Who knows?.. it might even work!
